We stayed here several days during our December trip to El Nido. It was a nice place right beside the Lagun Hotel. The rooms are of decent size. However, the staircase is quite steep and narrow, so if you have big suitcases, you might have a challenging time getting up to your room. Breakfast is included in our stay and it was decent. Every night, you will have to fill out a form and select your breakfast for the next day. It usually has the basics on the list: rice, eggs, pancakes, bacon, fruits (aka bananas for days). They also offer coffee and hot chocolate drinks to guests, albeit instant, no-brew ones (think nescafe 3-in-1 and Milo). It's kinda disappointing though how even when you submit your choice meals for a certain time the next morning, they will still make you wait 30-mins to an hour for your food. On the one hand, it is good because at least you know your food is freshly cooked. However, it renders the "pre-order system" useless. Anyway, the rooms are decent but the ac does not get any cooler than 24C i think. Good enough for the...
Read moreVisited 3 years in a row. Going back this March also. I've stayed at Swiftlets Inn every time. I thought I was gonna stay on a beach but now I realized the location of Swiftlets Inn is the perfect location. You see, to get to the beach, you have to go through town. Going through town, you get to see everything the town has to offer. If you stay on the beach, you would have to back track to get to anything. Therefore, that is why Swiftlets Inn is the best location of any hotel in all of El Nido.
The hotel itself is very clean. The room itself is well accommodated with cable TV, air conditioning, nice size bed, private bathroom and it even has hot water (shower and bath tub). The staff at the hotel are very pleasant and helpful. They are always willing to accommodate your needs, from booking your island tours to van transfers. The hotel has a family setting and is run by a family. Therefore, they take pride at the hotel and genuinely care for their guests. That is why I will always stay at...
Read moreFirst things first, all credit to Swiftlets, the room in which we stayed was exactly what was expected, simple, clean and adequately appointed, good value for the price and located walking distance from the centre of town.||Unfortunately however, the hotel is currently having work done and it is difficult to describe the overall building as anything other than a building site. There is no sign of the outside area overlooking the cliffs, worth noting that some of the pictures showing tables and chairs are actually outside the room but on the inside of the building. Significant parts of the building (including a large number of the bedrooms) were at the time of visiting totally stripped back to concrete, materials are lying around everywhere and the noise associated with the work was significant from about 8am onwards.||Our reservations about the accommodation are probably a point in time issue however we felt that it was important for prospective visitors to be aware of the...
