おはよう Siargao — Hotel in General Luna

I stayed at Ohayō Siargao with six friends (we booked multiple rooms), and honestly, it was one of the best places I’ve stayed on the island. The Wi-Fi was amazing—they use Starlink, and since most of us work remotely, that was super important. We didn’t have a single issue the whole week, even with everyone online at the same time.

It’s located on General Luna backroad, so it’s quiet and peaceful, which we appreciated but it can bumpy and muddy.

The place is really clean—they clean regularly, and they have a policy where you can’t wear your outdoor slippers inside, but they give you indoor slippers, which I thought was a nice touch. Everything feels fresh and new—the aircon, fridge, washing machine, all in great condition.

Aesthetically, there are still some parts that look like they’re in progress, but you can tell it’s a new building and they’re still improving things. It didn’t bother us at all, and it’s definitely getting there.

One thing I really appreciated was the sense of safety. I know break-ins can be a thing in Siargao, but Ohayō has night staff/24-hour reception and CCTV, which gave us peace of mind—especially for the price.

They also have a kitchen, which was super convenient, and the staff were genuinely kind and helpful. You can tell it’s run by people who care. Would definitely recommend...

We stayed for 6 days in Ohayo,

There are certain rules needed to follow when we’re here, my friend and I had no problem at all and complied with each rules. Ate Weng, Tina and their helpers made us feel at home. Ate Weng, the mother of the owner personally clean our dirty laundry. Dayne, one of their helper shared us some knowledge where to party during the night. Tina, the younger sister of the owner personally aranged our motorbike rental and van transfer (although we need to cancel last minute due to double booking).

I love that there’s free ice for all the guest available in the fridge.

The beddings smells nice and very comfortable to sleep in, the bath/room also had air freshener.

There’s also hot and cold shower available, bidet pressure works well.

WIFI is fast and reliable.

I love how big the windows are, natural light can comes in directly. Love the greenery view on the second floor.

They also have a very sweet house dog who will greet you when you enter the building.

During our stay, Siargao’s weather is unpredictable so expect a muddy way to Ohayo.

We’ve only been here for the first of our nine days, but I can already say that I love this place and would highly recommend it! ⭐️

The owner is incredibly warm, kind, and accommodating. She made sure everything was well-prepared and was always quick to respond to any questions I had.

When we booked, there were no reviews yet since they were new, but they were very transparent about everything, which we really appreciated. The staff managing the place are also very welcoming and friendly!

We booked two rooms for six people each, and I absolutely love the design—minimal, modern, and thoughtfully put together. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean everything was. The beds are super comfy, and they even have duvets. I also love that each bed has its own shelf, making it easy to keep personal items close by without rummaging through luggage. The bathroom is well-equipped with a mirror with lighting, a heater, a bidet, and tissue—everything you’d need for a comfortable stay.

Overall, I’m really happy with our stay at Ohayo. I’d definitely choose to stay here again whenever we’re in Siargao. Highly...
