Hotel Soffia Boracay — Hotel in Malay

We stayed here over New Years. The staff were really friendly and helpful, any problem we had was generally addressed. The pool and cafe is really nice and relaxing. Food was good. Really nice views. Nice decor inside with the art n that. Some carp floating about in a pond near the cafe..yeah, it’s a nice setting.|Only 2 problems. Due to the distance it is a bit of a jaunt to the beach but the hourly pickup was very prompt. Anyone with children, be aware though: it seems to be every man for himself getting on the taxi. We couldn’t get on despite having got there first, and another family, who were also there before others, had to go and pay for another taxi instead because they couldn’t get on. Not blaming the hotel for that but the driver told us to wait for another transport and no-one appeared so we were left waiting with our baby on the busy, car-fumey street for an hour.|Also, as mentioned in other reviews the wifi is ridiculous. I don’t know about being asked to pay for it..we weren’t given that option. But the signal drops every ten seconds where we were positioned and i saw a booster jus a few doors down so whatever, it’s just a massive hassle especially if u have no other option and need it to sort things out.||I saw someone mention the Queen bed scenario was the most ridiculous thing they’ve ever come across: ok boohoo it’s two beds pushed together. My gosh if that’s the worst thing you’ve experienced on holiday then i can only assume you normally holiday in a bag made out of cotton wool.|Don’t advertise it as a Queen bed though, it is two beds pushed together. They were solid, comfy beds that fitted together fine and we slept great, including the baby. Couldn’t hear noise from other rooms either altho admittedly that might very well be because of the fan being noisy.||The aircon/fan is also a bit noisy. So has practically every other one in the Phillipines been noisy except for hotels in Manila. Rooms are worn out and require serious renovation Air conditioners are weak and insufficient for cooling rooms Bathrooms also need renovations The Suite rooms are the oldest and are not recommended

Location might be distant from the main Boracay area, do your research Ideal for those seeking a getaway, with a beautiful pool and amazing in-house food No lift available, climbing stairs is necessary Not a luxury hotel, reflected in the quality of toiletries, linen, and maintenance Empty jug provided in room; guests need to collect water from hallway dispenser

The hotel could be rated 2 stars for room, bathroom, and air conditioner quality The stay was uncomfortable due to insufficient air conditioning Excellent service, with staff making every effort to ensure comfort, resulting in a 4-star rating overall

Друзья, очень двоякое впечатления сложилось об отеле. Положительные моменты это- приятное обслуживание в ресторане, очень доброжелательные ребята и всегда все делали быстро и без лишних напоминаний. Так же хочу отдельно отметить доброжелательность владельца отеля, каждое утро подходил к гостям и здоровался, он лично следит за обслуживанием в ресторане. Приятное впечатление произвел главный менеджер или заместитель владельца, всегда старался помочь и был очень доброжелателен. Если бы не работа этих людей, то мое впечатление об отеле совсем бы было ужасным. Территория хоть и маленькая,но очень чистая и приятная. Бассейн чистый, полотенца и шезлонги всегда в наличии. Ежечасно шатл до центра, новые автобусики и всегда чистые, водители мыли их каждый день (лучше бы они так номера мыли) Приятная музыка возле бассейна и вкусные коктейли в ресторане. Меню совсем слабое и запомнился только салат с тунцом, это самый вкусный салат что довелось попробовать. Еще один плюс, это быстрая реакция на любые просьбы по звонку из номера, очень оперативно прибегал парень всегда старался помочь. ||Что касаемо минусов, по приезду не встретили в порту, хотя звонили и предупреждали о приезде за несколько часов. При заселении не слова не говоря повели в простые номера, хотя был забронирован домик-касита. После уточнения об этом, менеджер на рисепшене Ричард просто сделал круглые глаза и хамски ответил, если вы хотите жить в своей касите (дословно) ждите! Конечно мы хотим жить в своей касите! Мы вообще то заплатили за нее!!! Очень не приятное впечатление сложилось от общения с Ричардом, конечно его можно понять)) приехали тут два туриста и стали требовать жить в касите...он сидел себе ровно и не о чем не думал! Хамство и негатив вот все впечатления от общения с ресепшеном! Уборка длилась час и длилась бы дольше, если бы не постоянные напоминания о себе) Номер очень серый и сырой, постельное белье за 9 дней не меняли ни разу! И этот отель позиционирует себя как 4*)) На веранде стоял столик,так вот, к концу отдыха на столе не было пустого места, от мусора, окурков и баночек из под напитков. Этот мусор разносило ветром по всей веранде и он летал и летал себе! Пол в номере просто подметали и это в лучшем случае, стаканы не мыли и не протирали столики, все было на тяп ляп, это можно понять с одной стороны, убирался молодой паренек который просто вываливал все в кучу и чистое и грязное, он был и горничная и садовник и еще много всего выполнял. В номере жили огромные рыжие тараканы! Муж двигал мебель и избавлялся от них) в ванне постоянно бегали один два. Совершенно однозначно номер не стоит своих денег! Пока руководство не обратит внимание на качество обслуживания номеров и на хамство на рисепшене, все будет только хуже и хуже! Это не серьезно за 9 дней не менять постель!!! Номер больше напоминал хлев! Шумный кондиционер в номере. Не советую останавливаться в каситах, да и вообще задумайтесь об этом отеле! Еще раз повторюсь, что если бы не владелец отеля, то впечатление было бы совсем печальным. Всем...
