We can speak only for the one-bedroom-apartments, which we had the sad opportunity to experience almost all. Whether it is a construction/condensation problem or a problem of water damage through the roof, it is evident that all the ceilings are cracked and a definite scent of mold is omni-present. In some areas traces of black mold are visible, as well as the results of the digging works of termites, which like moist and tender wood and by now must have infested these buildings. The bed-sheets feel damp. Result: we both got a heavy and painful cough and general state of lethargy that just didn't want to heal, until after 4 weeks we decided to try another resort. We both quickly recovered. As we had paid 6 weeks in advance in Olivia we asked the management for another apartment. It lasted 5 days (5 days extra expenses in another resort) till, after numerous requests we were finally presented with three other apartments, two of which were even worse than the one we got before. We decided to try the third one, although it had cracks in the ceiling big enough to put your finger through. But it didn't 'smell' too bad. We kept all windows as well as the front door wide open. After two hours it became obvious that we could not sleep in this wobbly, damp and itchy bed, as we both started to cough heavily again. We decided to 'sleep' outside on the floor for the rest of the day. It is my opinion that these building are not fit for renting and that the owner, whom we never saw during our stay, should start getting concerned. I need to add that the appearance of the resort is clean and modern, that there is a really nice pool area, that the personnel is quite friendly, that there is a 3.5% surcharge on credit card payments (not limited - e.g. on a 1.000$ payment you are charged with 35$ 'bank-expenses' - otherwise you must pay cash) and that the area is infested with little, ferociously biting ants, than can give you a bad wake-up in the morning or a run for your life when lying on a lounge-seat...

Disliked · Bed Bugs- bed bugs everywhere, really disgusting and painful! )we’ve never seen anything like this in our 30 yrs of traveling. We still had to pay 50% of the nights there even though we were being eaten alive while we slept. They were not apologetic or concerned that we had bites all over our bodies and now all of our belongings for all 5 of us were contaminated with no where to wash them. (In Bohol, Philippines there is no laundry mat and absolutely no dryers!) And we had coach roach and many flying insects including mosquitoes in the bungalow constantly. The staff was very nice but the manager and Owner we never saw and never bothered to talk to us. It was a nighttime looking for another hotel with no where to go-we had to stay one more night in a bed bug infested bungalow. It was a nightmare. It was Christmas so all hotels were booked-we were on our own to find somewhere to stay-never did they offer to help. Finally found another hotel-it was difficult and cost more $ and 5 of us (all adults-Us and our 3 kids 15-24) had to sleep in 2 beds! Then we able to get a 2nd room with 2 nights remaining of our trip! I’d never stay at Olivia again! Now we are headed home and can’t take any luggage inside our home for fear of bed bug hitchhikers and get to do loads of laundry sterilization for the next 2 days! Plus we still have red bug bites all over with more appearing as they can continue to appear up to 14 days after being bitten!...

Stayed in Olivia's apartment for 4 nights with my friends and we got 2 one bed room apartment beside each other. The place is about 10 minutes away from Alona white beach by walking, and 3 minutes by tricycle. When we first got there, the place was really relaxing since it's secluded from the party scene, like a row of nice villas with lots of green. Then eventually when we entered the apartment, it was a bit old and has a musty smell already. Aircondition was not cold enough to be able to have a good night sleep at night. Towels have holes, and amenities were not replenished daily not unless you ask for it. Other amenities like wifi is really fast, pool is really clean and nice, shower area at the pool doesn't have water so we have to go in to our apartment with sand on our slippers and clothes. Staff was really amazing, as they are very accommodating especially at the reception.||||Will definitely consider staying here again in the future, but not my...
