Vanila Sky We had dinner here on our first night in Panglao and absolutely loved the food. We only had 4 days on the Island but came back here again on our last night as it was so good. We also popped in for dessert on another evening after having a very average meal elsewhere. By far best pizza, pasta, pana cotta, and tiramisu I’ve had in the Philippines. As good as any food I’ve eaten on numerous trips to Italy. We also enjoyed a nice bottle of red wine that was very reasonably priced. The owner is Italian and we chatted to him about the restaurant. He makes the fresh buffalo mozzarella himself by hand and seems to be directly involved in cooking and overseeing all the dishes that are served. They also have rooms and a nice, newly renovated swimming pool. We originally wanted to stay here but they were fully booked over new year so we had to stay elsewhere. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Panglao!

We have a great time staying here for 2 days. They are located near alona beach which you can walk by foot for 5 to 10 mins. The resort has an italian restaurant which is same as kermit cuisine if you've been to siargao. The food was tasty and delicious (well Im not really a food critic, but I know what is good food). The staffs. Are very hospitable and really know what they are doing so thumbs up to that. The room was big I love their linens because it smells soo fresh and clean. They clean and tidy up the room everyday but they change towels every other day. Though there some flaws in the room but I know they can fix it. But overall, it was nice staying in this resort. Thank you so much guys! Keep it up..!!!

Discover the Hidden Gem of Alona Beach Vanilla Sky

As I stepped into Vanilla Sky, I knew I had stumbled upon something truly special. Tucked away from the bustling crowds, this exquisite haven is a well-kept secret that promises an unforgettable stay on Alona Beach. Vanilla Sky's unique charm and exceptional hospitality left a lasting impression on me.

The first thing that struck me was the warm and welcoming staff. Their commitment to providing an extraordinary experience was evident from the moment we arrived. Throughout our stay, they consistently went above and beyond, ensuring every detail was taken care of to make our visit truly exceptional.

The accommodations at Vanilla Sky are nothing short of delightful. The rooms are generously spacious, meticulously clean. The comfortable beds provided a restful haven after our exciting beach adventures, ensuring we woke up refreshed and ready to seize each day.

One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible restaurant and dining area. A culinary haven awaits at Vanilla Sky, offering a delectable array of Italian delicacies and local dishes. Savoring these mouthwatering treats while being treated to scenic views was an experience beyond compare.

I was particularly impressed by Vanilla Sky's affordability, making it an excellent choice for travelers on a budget. Moreover, its convenient location allowed us to explore the beauty of Alona Beach effortlessly. Whether strolling along the sandy shores or taking a short trike ride to explore nearby restaurants and attractions, we were never far from captivating experiences.

What truly set Vanilla Sky apart, however, was the genuine family-like atmosphere. It felt as though we were staying with old friends who genuinely cared about our comfort and happiness. This sense of belonging, combined with the reasonable rates and attentive staff, made our stay a perfect 10 out of 10.

As I bid farewell to Vanilla Sky Retreat, I couldn't help but feel a longing to return. This little oasis tucked away in Alona Beach is a treasure worth discovering. If you're seeking an unforgettable escape that offers both affordability and a touch of luxury, look no further than Vanilla Sky. Trust me, you won't want to miss out on this...

It seems like this hotel is mainly known for their restaurant as the people working there were always asking how many people for dinner when they were seeing us walked in. ||||We rented the family room so we were on the 3rd floor. ||||A few flaw in the room:||1- Water heater keep tripping if it is set above "low", hence hot water is not really hot. After diving is can be quite aggravating. ||2- The water tank located on top of our room was quite noisy and we could hear a "plop Plop Plop" sound all night long as the room are really not soundproof. ||3- No blockout curtain in the room, hence the big window right next to the bed will shine bright really early which makes it difficult to sleep in. ||4- They only provide you with a flat sheet, we understand that the weather is hot, but it is not comfortable. it is nice to sleep under something a bit more heavy. Hence, I put 2 towels on top of my flat sheet in order to sleep. ||5- The WIFI keeps tripping, the connection is really not reliable, I don't know it it was the hotel or the network over there so I won't comment too much on this. ||6- For breakfast, you get only 1 egg with bread, or 1 egg with rice. I wish I could have a bit more. I could not understand that the food for lunch and dinner was so nice but choice of food for breakfast was really ordinary. ||||On a brighter note, the staff is amazing and really nice. They pay attention to details and they care about you. ||||They did all our booking for us from taxi to boat. They were really nice and knowledgeable. ||||We were able to rent motorbike at 300 pesos per day which was helpful...

Looks like this hotel was built sometime in 1980-es and it pretty much remains in that times. Very little upgrading or renovation was done since.|| Its location is a bit far away from everything unless you are ok and fit enough to walk for 10 min on a busy road in heat and humidity. Otherwise take a tuk-tuk for 100 php one way. There is a short cut to Alona beach and everything else but it ends in a "private property - do not tresspass" sign although you can still walk through there, very steep, made out of the rock stairs lead to the beginning of Alona Beach, a lot of rocks there - watch your step ! I would not advise to walk there in a darkness.||Some good restaurants are there on Alona Beach, money changers, many locals offering tours - i booked with some of them, it was very good, especially one guy, his name is Peter - he makes very good arrangements. ||Electricity goes off quite often in that area although not for long. ||Room amenities are not bad but during my stay hot water box in the shower broke and had to be fixed. Then internet router for my room broke too, i checked out before they could repair it.||Staff is nice and helpful there and the food in the restaurant is lovely. But breakfast is ridiculously limited - 1 egg (fried or scrambled), you need to ask if you want more eggs, some sausage or fish and plain rice, fruits - watermelon and pineapple, orange juice or iced tea, some time they make pancakes - that is all their...
