Read moreIt seems like this hotel is mainly known for their restaurant as the people working there were always asking how many people for dinner when they were seeing us walked in. ||||We rented the family room so we were on the 3rd floor. ||||A few flaw in the room:||1- Water heater keep tripping if it is set above "low", hence hot water is not really hot. After diving is can be quite aggravating. ||2- The water tank located on top of our room was quite noisy and we could hear a "plop Plop Plop" sound all night long as the room are really not soundproof. ||3- No blockout curtain in the room, hence the big window right next to the bed will shine bright really early which makes it difficult to sleep in. ||4- They only provide you with a flat sheet, we understand that the weather is hot, but it is not comfortable. it is nice to sleep under something a bit more heavy. Hence, I put 2 towels on top of my flat sheet in order to sleep. ||5- The WIFI keeps tripping, the connection is really not reliable, I don't know it it was the hotel or the network over there so I won't comment too much on this. ||6- For breakfast, you get only 1 egg with bread, or 1 egg with rice. I wish I could have a bit more. I could not understand that the food for lunch and dinner was so nice but choice of food for breakfast was really ordinary. ||||On a brighter note, the staff is amazing and really nice. They pay attention to details and they care about you. ||||They did all our booking for us from taxi to boat. They were really nice and knowledgeable. ||||We were able to rent motorbike at 300 pesos per day which was helpful...
Read moreLooks like this hotel was built sometime in 1980-es and it pretty much remains in that times. Very little upgrading or renovation was done since.|| Its location is a bit far away from everything unless you are ok and fit enough to walk for 10 min on a busy road in heat and humidity. Otherwise take a tuk-tuk for 100 php one way. There is a short cut to Alona beach and everything else but it ends in a "private property - do not tresspass" sign although you can still walk through there, very steep, made out of the rock stairs lead to the beginning of Alona Beach, a lot of rocks there - watch your step ! I would not advise to walk there in a darkness.||Some good restaurants are there on Alona Beach, money changers, many locals offering tours - i booked with some of them, it was very good, especially one guy, his name is Peter - he makes very good arrangements. ||Electricity goes off quite often in that area although not for long. ||Room amenities are not bad but during my stay hot water box in the shower broke and had to be fixed. Then internet router for my room broke too, i checked out before they could repair it.||Staff is nice and helpful there and the food in the restaurant is lovely. But breakfast is ridiculously limited - 1 egg (fried or scrambled), you need to ask if you want more eggs, some sausage or fish and plain rice, fruits - watermelon and pineapple, orange juice or iced tea, some time they make pancakes - that is all their...
