We stayed a total of 5 days and 4 nights. From the time we booked to the time we arrived then left, service was very friendly, warm and consistent. Every staff we approached or interacted with were always willing to help. Am still amazed how all their staff (front desk, waiters, drivers, gardeners, guards, lifeguards, room boys, dive shop staff and guides) are trained so well, always ready and willing to accommodate your request and to make you feel welcome. This in itself made our stay quite welcoming and comfortable.

The beautiful white sand beach and clear blue azure waters is stunning. As mentioned in other reviews, Dumaluan beach has most likely the best beach on the island. Unlike Alona, which is mostly covered with sea grass, the beach fronting BBC has large white sandy areas where you can swim and lounge during the mornings to early afternoon or while the tide is high. We also dove the house reef which really had not much to see. If you should go diving, skip this site and just go directly to Balicasag island (schooling jacks and lots of marine life).

Facilities are maybe a little older but are quite spartan and very clean. The resort is very well maintained as you could always see staff performing various preventive maintenance work around the grounds. We stayed in a Beachview Suite (507) which had unobstructed views of the garden, palm trees and beach, which allowed us to relax in its large comfortable balcony. The suite was perfect as we woke up every morning with a beautiful view of the beach. Just the perfect spot to have your morning coffee. The resort has a lot of palm trees, plants and green grass adding to its relaxing and beautiful ambiance. It is in a sprawling beachfront property with wide open spaces so that it never felt crowded despite the many guests. It was always very peaceful and nice to be able to hear the palm trees sway in the wind. Their outdoor massage was also an excellent way to end the day.

Food choice and quality was a 3 star at best, but it was acceptable considering the reasonable prices and 5-star quality service and beautiful ocean views. The breakfast was not very exciting in terms of food selection and got a bit monotonous. This could certainly do with some improvement. We had a few meals in South Palms resort, which is right beside Alona Beach and food choices and quality was much better. Prices were also competitive.

Our overall experience at the Bohol Beach Club was extremely good. Not only do we highly recommend it to others, but we would definitely be coming back again. Kudos to Management and all staff. Thank you for a great stay and experience...

Alona Beach: A Slice of Paradise 🌊🌞

From the moment your toes touch the soft, white sands of Alona Beach, you know you've arrived at a special place. The sun-drenched shores, fringed with whispering palms, welcome you to a world where time slows down, and the ocean's melody sets the pace for your day.

My Experience As I strolled along the beach, the gentle waves lapped at my feet, inviting me to join in the aquatic ballet of vibrant marine life below the surface. The water, a kaleidoscope of blues, was as clear as crystal, revealing a bustling underwater city of coral and fish.

The beach buzzes with life, yet there's a sense of peace that permeates the air. It's a place where laughter fills the breeze, and the horizon stretches endlessly, offering a view that's nothing short of breathtaking.

Culinary Delights The array of local eateries lining the beachfront is a feast for the senses. Each meal is a celebration of the island's bounty, with seafood so fresh, it practically leaps from the ocean to your plate.

Nightfall Magic As dusk falls, Alona Beach transforms. The sky, painted with strokes of pink and orange, gives way to a tapestry of stars. The nightlife awakens, a perfect blend of tranquility and excitement, where every moment is a memory in the making.

Final Thoughts Alona Beach isn't just a destination; it's an experience that stays with you, long after the sand has been shaken from your shoes. It's a reminder that paradise isn't a myth—it's here, waiting to be...

Catch the sunrise early morning in a white sand beach of Alona Beach while having my light breakfast of pandesal and hot choco which you can buy from a small food stall. I was waiting for my tour guide for the island hopping at the same time. Tip, if you want to get a cheaper deal, haggle to the locals holding their placards. I got the same island hopping experience for only 900 pesos whereas in other travel agencies, they would offer 2k and up. I availed for the package the night before. You can have the go pro rented as well. Try your luck to convince the tour guide. I paid mine for 200 for one instead of 1200 for 4 people. Me being a solo traveller maybe helped? 😅 Tour guides and locals are very friendly. Downside of the beach is the accessibility of public toilet. Unless you are dining in one of the restaurants then it’ll be easier.

Alona Beach in Panglao, Bohol is truly a paradise. The white sand, clear blue waters, and relaxing vibe make it a perfect spot to unwind, swim, or simply enjoy the view. It is also very Instagrammable. Every corner of the beach is picture-perfect, with palm trees, turquoise waves, and a vibrant tropical atmosphere that makes it easy to take beautiful photos. The only downside is that the public restroom is quite far, which can be a little inconvenient. But there are plenty of fast food places and restaurants nearby, and many of them have their own restrooms, so it is still a convenient place to spend the day. Overall, it is a beautiful and refreshing destination that I would definitely recommend if you are visiting Bohol.
