Me and a friend stayed here last May 14-15, 2016 we arrived at the area around 5:00PM without reservations/booking, and we have a confirmation of boat departure for the next day at 4:30pm, we were so worried that we might end up staying at the scorching hot sun while waiting for our departure trip since standard policy is to check out at 12noon, but the one who runs the place, Kuya Anthony told us it's ok to stay until 3:00pm of the next day. The room is cheap (P2,000/per night, room for 2pax), with AC and electric fan, additional cost of P200 for extra bed, no TV or towels, but the bathroom is ok. little old here and there, but for the cost, it's the best accom for me. It's not beachfront, just a few minutes walk going at the back of the beach. And Kuya Anthony is gracious enough to offer his helpto pick us up if ever we lost our way at night after drinking too much, he said just call and he will find us. Very Good place, we will still stay at this area next time we...
Read moreI've talked to Felix Manalo last Apr24 to confirm our booking to stay on the first week of May. At our first conversation, his text replies was not reliable or there is always a misunderstanding of what he text. So I decided to call him and ask for the reservation date and confirm if there is still available, he confirmed that there is a standard room that is available so I deposit a reservation fee on Apr25 on his security bank account. I kept the deposit slip on purpose. As far I am concerned, we are reserved for a standard room, but when we arrived at puerto galera and proceed to front desk of Manalo's Lodge, the owner Felix confirmed that there is no more vacancies. I thought that our reservation fee will keep our room reserved but he give the room to other guest on that day, in the end we look for other room vacant on puerto galera, ||||For such inconvenience thie lodging house brought us!||||I do not...
Read moreWe hope Manalo's Lodge and Restaurant can be more considerate, especially during times when there are official flood or weather advisories.
At first, they allowed us to reschedule due to the bad weather, but only gave us until the end of June to do so. However, based on our research, their area remained under a severe flood advisory throughout June and is still affected until now. We didn’t ask for a refund and we already communicated with them and hoped they would be more considerate, especially since PAGASA had issued official warnings about the hazardous weather in their area. But even with these valid concerns, they still didn’t consider extending or adjusting the rescheduling. We believe safety should always come first—for guests and for...
