Not a bad place at all for the money. It’s fairly new, rooms were clean and had the basics that you’d need. I was a bit confused as to why only one bed was made in my twin room. If people book a twin room then both beds should be ready for use.|| The bathroom was clean with constant flow electric hot water, and there was no glass or flyscreen in the bathroom window, so I had to make sure I kept the bathroom door closed to prevent bugs from entering the room.|| Although new, the airconditioner was an in-wall box type air conditioner rather than a split system unit, and being sensitive to this type of noise I had to use earplugs to get a decent night’s sleep. Roosters would also wake me up in the morning, but this seems to happen almost everywhere in the Philippines! On the positive side, at least there was no traffic outside the room window.|| WiFi wasn’t fast and I had to try a couple of the access points until I got it to work successfully but it did work and wasn’t ultra slow or anything. The TV in the room had a decent selection of English and Filipino channels.||Princess Armicha (pronounced Armicka rather than Armisha) have a variety of room types including what looked like a family room with 2 Queen Sized beds and 1 Single.||Drinking water is available downstairs in plastic cups, and there are a few choices for breakfast which change on alternate days. Serving sizes weren’t big enough for my personal preference, but still OK and it was nice to see the scrambled eggs with some tomato and onion in it rather than just plain eggs. The breakfast area is on the top floor overlooking some of the surrounding area. I felt unwell after having the scrambled eggs with breaded chicken option for breakfast one morning (it came almost cold), but I felt unwell for the whole day and can’t definitely say it was the fault of the food. I was fine after eating there on the other days, though I didn’t have the chicken that time.|| Some of the younger female staff seemed a little indifferent – not unpleasant, but just seemed detached – maybe they are new to the hospitality industry. Staff were attentive and helpful overall to my requests, and I was very glad to get a lift to the airport at the end of my stay.|| The premises are about 8-10 minutes’ walk down from Rizal Avenue, and most of your dining options are along this main road, though there is obviously more to Puerto Princesa than just Rizal Avenue. It is certainly not walking distance from the airport but trike trips around town are 7 Pesos per person. || This place is not located directly next to any places of interest or any shops, but it is walking distance to the main part of town (with some smaller shops a bit down the road), clean, tidy, in a quiet part of town, overall good value and definitely worthy of...

After all the fuss and bustle of getting to Palawan and dealing with airports, having your name on a placard ready to take you, is an oasis. ||The staff at Princess Armicha are friendly, respectful, and helpful. When deciding which tour group to use to go to the underground river (which is beautiful by the way) the staff showed me how to do it myself - ie. get my own permit, take a bus, and arrange for a boat. It actually saved me some pesos. ||The breakfast is good. There's a daily choice of local style breakfast, or the Western egg, toast, and coffee. I tried them all and they're all worthy of a shot. ||Bedroom and bathroom were clean, and sheets were changed daily. The common areas were always spotless and the surrounding area swept. ||If you're vascillating between pensions, I'd say that this one is worthy...
