Eurotel Vivaldi Araneta — Hotel in Quezon City

Reservation - The reservation was booked efficiently and without issue.||||The Room - The room was plain but expected unfortunately the entire room had a massive stench of urine permeating throughout the place and we tried to get rid of it with perfume and spray; we called the hotel and the cleaning person tried to clean it but also agreed that the smell was unbearable. Nothing had a lasting effect. The cleaning person indicated it was a problem with drains. Requests for a room change were met with "sorry ma'am no rooms left"... The cleaner also made the ridiculous suggestion that we leave the window open with the air con on as an alternative.||||Customer Experience - The front desk is confusing as it took 3-4 calls to confirm if it was OK to have an external massage person show up as one person said it was fine, then another said it was not and that took 30 minutes to confirm. We also had some issues getting an adapter for the plug, no one called us back. When we called back we were told that the "guy who has one" had already left so, sorry about that but we can't provide it. Had we known that could have sourced one but you know, hotels should really have the ability to cover that sort of thing.||In regards to the smell, they said they would "try" to give us another room but we were already trying to find another place to stay as nothing was for sure.||Now we are currently asking to have a partial refund for the night we didn't use, since the hotel lost nothing except potential future customers. So far after almost 5 days we have been told by the third party website they are waiting for the hotel to confirm as our original request was "denied". Keeping in mind that the hotel had already told us that could do nothing and we had to go through third party website for a possible refund. That's circle management, no one taking ownership.||||Someone from management needs to own up, we didn't use their unbearably stinking room so they could theoretically rent it out again and we were only asking for the one night refund versus the entire booking which would have been something that could have been on the table due to this massive negative experience....||||We sent an email and correlated with Third party Website/the Hotel but our correspondence was met with nothing. ||||Please avoid this hotel, their website is years old and not updated, and their customer service is non-existent and they will hide behind the broker sites to avoid accountability for customers with negative but...

In all my years of travelling I have never seen such gross roach infestation in a hotel. When I went into my room the first time I already saw a roach running into base of wall. I immediately left all my luggage's up high and did not leave my luggage open in fear of bring some of these friends home. Over the course if my two days stay I see them running up the wall of the room and inside the bathroom wall and floor. Needless to say I killed them all. On my last night when I needed to pee and lift the toilet seat I saw at least 7-8 baby roaches running under the toilet seat. I did not use the toilet after that. ||I would not recommend a stay at the hotel not just because of the roach infestation. When I made my reservation, it says city view. What I actually got was a room without window. When I confronted the female receptionist I was told that is was on an available basis. If I had know I would book elsewhere. This was not stated on the Agoda website when I booked my room.||Room is slightly bigger than Red Planet room. Beyond that there is not much similarity. Furniture is dated and look cheap. Bathroom is also small. You have to go into the bathroom and close the door to use the sink. Based on the roaches running, cleanliness is not a feature of the room. On one of TripAdvisor review for 2018 another traveller also mentioned about the roaches. I guess the hotel management is ignoring this issue. I have also seen roach walking about on lobby floor while waiting for my Grab ride.||AC works well but you can not adjust the temperature. There is only an On/OFF switch by bed.||Location is excellent since it is by Arentas Center.||TV remote don't have a back cover.||AM free breakfast is nothing to write about. It didnt taste tasty ad I think of the roaches running around the hotel and kitchen.||Room service is a joke. I left early morning and came at 9pm the room was still not made. My husband and I had a terrible experience with this hotel. |February 15, 2020. |It was night time when we came from Pangasinan by bus and we really had no reservations in any hotel near Cubao so we tried to find a hotel where we can stay for one night. |We entered the hotel to do further inquiries we noticed that the receptionist is not quite very welcoming and not smiling at all. |When we approached the receptionist in this hotel to ask if they have any available rooms she said they only have one available room which is the suite room for 4000+ PHP per night. My husband and I were already tired so we decided to take the room as we didn’t want to walk further and try to find a room in EDSA as it’s very dangerous to walk during night time in that area. The Eurotel also had Valentine's day promotion for 50% off so we only paid 2000+ PHP. It took so long before they allowed us to get inside the room. Fast forward to when we arrived in the room, we didn't see any towels. We turned on the shower and the heater isn't working. We tried to order foods but it's way too expensive. They will require you to go down the reception to pay for your foods before you will get in your room.|No parking space for the customers.|It takes hours before the receptionist to answer calls/queries.|Rude receptionist.|No remote controls for the A/C.|My husband and I went down many times to ask help regarding the room because it takes hours before the receptionist answers the call.|When we finally spoke to the supervisor he apologized for the bad experience so he tried to lend us the key for a studio room that has a functional shower with heater.
