With its limited space, Gateway Gallery manages to showcase a wide range of paintings, sculptures, as well as some artifacts. At the time of my visit, the theme for the collection was various points in Philippine history. The curated artworks featured a wide array of styles — there were mosaic pieces, abstract paintings, and even relief sculptures. The roster of artworks are also in a rotation-basis, which encourages patrons to drop by and visit on multiple occasions.
However, lighting for the venue could use an improvement. The dim, fluorescent lights failed to bring focus to the art, which should be the highlight in most, if not all galleries. The mood for the space says 'grey, dead, and flat'.

The gallery is great to visit because it is free and convenient, but most importantly, it will be an educational and enlightening experience. I hope they continue showcasing relevant and informative exhibits...

While sitting down and listening in front of the TV (the artist is discussing about the first painting), a guard approached me saying that loitering is not allowed and I was asked to leave the vicinity. It's my first time to experience this. I don't know what's their standard of loitering but I felt disappointed. I love gateway gallery but this experience discourages me to come...
