(Long post ahead)- I’d like to start with the positives. The room’s GENEROUS FLOOR SPACE was a key factor in my decision and did not disappoint-The WIFI was working wellThat said, several major issues overshadowed these benefits- The most concerning problem was encountering A LIVE COCKROACH in the room. (For context, the pest nearly blended in with the furniture’s color - I provided photos on this review)- I discovered it just as I was about to power on the TV - which itself was unplugged and lacked the remote controls. Had proper MAINTENANCE occurred before check‑in, the cockroach might have been noticed and dealt with- We were provided a replacement room on a different floor. Unlike the original room, the new one has a wardrobe. Yet, this was counterbalanced by a strong, UNPLEASANT CR ODOR. MOLDS? We just dealt with it by having the exhaust fan running constantly- Additional drawbacks include SEVERAL FEES and rental-only conveniences. PARKING is NOT FREE. It costs PHP 150 / night to be paid upon check out- Use of the SWIMMING POOL carries an EXTRA CHARGE- There's a list of items FOR RENT. Better bring your own Utensils, as these are for rent- Refrigerator (FOR RENT Php 500)- KETTLE, FOR RENT- NO instant coffee in sachets- NO complimentary water upon arrival- The PANTRY area isn’t fully functional - the SINK IS CLOSED OFF- BREAKFAST SERVICE FELL SHORT OF EXPECTATIONS, with only a single staff member managing the ground‑floor cafe/restaurant, the ordering system became chaotic. Orders were repeated over the phone multiple times. For example, a “poached egg” order (by a lady foreigner) was cringey and repeatedly announced as “pouched egg” to the hearing of all present in the cafe/restaurantWe opted for breakfast elsewhere.re: cafe / restaurant itemsThere are some items that are 50% off on their BREAD CHOICES on display. Upon looking though, there is NO expiration date (or Manufacture / Baking Date or any indicator). The thing is, those which are NOT marked down have NO expiration date / manufacture date / baking date too. I noticed because I am very particular on this. (Also, because of the waiting time aka "pouched egg" above)- Minor issues also made a negative impression. A stain near the bed frame, CR WALL TILES ARE NOT REALLY TILES (just with decorative tile‑like rectangles), a CLOSED‑OFF BALCONY (limiting your chance to unwind with an evening view), there is NO SOFA (and only two chairs are provided despite a booking for more than two), and A FEW LOOSE room FLOOR TILES further detracted from the stay- Some of the STAFF are courteous, others aren'tWhile the SPACIOUS ROOM and reliable WiFi were definite positives, the significant cleanliness issues (COCKROACH, MOLDY SMELL), extra charges, and service inefficiencies made this stay unpleasant. This room is reasonably-priced though. (So, I guess we got what...
Read moreI chose this place thinking it's near the mall and the area where we need to go plus the photo seems to show that it's spacious and looks like there a great window view and amenities for a reasonable daily rate. When we arrive we were assisted in the parking stataing there's fee of Php75 for a motor cycle and thats fine. When we approached the front desk she handed me the form to fill out and the keys and asked for the dp required. When we reached the floor the corridor to the room looks creepy..no ventilation, low ceiling definitely no hotel vibe and the door to the room is keyed but not digital. When we entered we realised it's a residential condo converted to a hotel and all you will see is the bed in the middle of an over sized room, a tv with no cable ,we cant use the tv coz theres no instruction how thet internal antenna works realizing the remote was also not working so its okay. Then there a bunch of reminders compiled on top of the table that if you wanted to feel the complete vibe everything has an extra charge. But I didnt focus on that but I need a glass that costs 40 each to rent. Then the usual number to front desk is 0 but NOT. So we went down and asked and was inform all of those in the menu or stuff in the lists cannot be provided no explanation and we were recommended to buy outside.Given that I have a meeting to attend , I was so disappointed as there was no wifi and she said its their provider. No heads up when we checked in? And of course the stay was non refundable so i felt tied to the stay even if it didnot meet the reason why we booked them. More so there are termites in the ceiling, and bathroom door where I felt uncomfortable that these issues might be charged on us. When you pull the bathroom door it squicked like as if the paint was peeling off because the wood was already destroyed by the termites. Plus the terrace/veranda is inaaccessible. I feel I was locked in a room and theres no comfortable feeling. The light switch is not working. Its 1 switch for all. They offer to have this checked by a maintenance but no one came. Not recommending this...
Read moregiving this a 1 star review. some of the stuffs there aren’t too kind and patient when it comes to teaching us how to lock the door. speaking off, it was really hard and complicated when it comes to trying to lock or to unlock the doors (they really need to buy new door knobs fr) my fam and i booked 2 rooms and one of the rooms looked really empty, like there wasn’t any much furnitures than the other room we’ve booked in, it’s like the room looks a bit abandoned. as for one of the toilets, there were spiders! its like it was never cleaned, they could’ve at least clean the room before we checked in. they could also try doing an bit of a improvement for the toilet, because the toilet doesn’t really look clean. all in all, i guess the hotel is really low budget, because at night, their lobby has no aircon. although the hotel isn’t really like a 5 star hotel, i guess this could be affordable to some students or to anyone who is currently in low budget that is looking for a hotel to stay...
