My rating is based on my specific experience and purpose for staying at this hotel for two nights. I booked the hotel to enjoy some personal time in a quiet environment while focusing on my work. Typically, I check into hotels to work on both professional and academic tasks, and stable internet connectivity is essential for this. Unfortunately, during my stay, the internet connection was extremely poor, and I couldn’t connect to the hotel’s Wi-Fi at all. I contacted the front desk, but their only response was that they would "work on it." Despite this, the issue persisted throughout my stay, and since my main reason for staying was to work, this was a significant inconvenience. I rely heavily on online platforms, like the LMS, to check my students' papers, but I was unable to do so and had to rely on mobile data instead. While mobile signal strength was somewhat better during nighttime, it was still unreliable during the day, slowing my work progress. I would strongly recommend that the hotel consider installing signal boosters on every floor to enhance connectivity.
In addition to the internet issues, there were also problems with the elevator on the 10th floor. While I had no trouble using the elevator to go up, it would not open when I tried to go down from the 10th floor. I had to walk down to the 9th floor just to access the elevator, which was quite inconvenient. Another issue I noticed was the condition of the elevator carpet—it was visibly dirty when I checked in, and it remained in that state until I checked out, indicating that it was not cleaned during my stay.
I do appreciate the unique theme of each room, which added character to the space, but unfortunately, it didn’t compensate for the hotel’s shortcomings. The hallways were not air-conditioned, so waiting for the elevator was uncomfortable, especially since I found myself sweating while standing there.
In terms of food, I encountered another issue. I was informed that one of the key ingredients in the dish I ordered was unavailable, and they asked if I would accept a substitution, to which I agreed. However, considering that the hotel offers dining services, it was surprising that they were missing such a fundamental ingredient, especially one that is commonly used across many dishes. This could have been avoided with better inventory management, which should be a standard practice in any kitchen. Overall, I would rate the food 2.5 out of 5.
In conclusion, I would recommend this hotel only if your primary purpose is to have a place to sleep or to carry out manual tasks that don’t require internet connectivity. However, if you need to work or are sensitive about cleanliness, this might not be the...
Read moreThe place is situated nicely. Near MRT North Edsa. SM North is also just across the other side accessible by the foot bridge. They also offer 24-hr resto so you can order food anytime.
Not too happy with their food, though. I ordered Mozzarella sticks but not sure if it's freshly made...a little blant for my taste. I also got a room with free breakfast, but was only able to avail of it twice.
My first day, I had arroz caldo and it's good. I had a quick meal since I had an early start at work that day. The second day, I allotted time for a proper meal. I ended up not finishing it. Everything was too salty for my taste - garlic rice, fish fillet, omelette. I suddenly felt uncomfortable but still tried to finish what's on my plate. But was not able to do so as I felt my BP was rising and got a little dizzy. So I went back to my room and rest. The embutido is okay. I liked their cucumber water, though.
Near the hotel are plenty of establishments you can buy. There's Mercury Drug beside the hotel. Jollibee, 711, and Waltermart across the other side of the street.
The rooms are outdated. Seriously need rehabilitation. I transferred rooms twice. 1st, because they put me in a room without windows. 2nd, in the middle of the night, the ac in my room stopped blowing cool air as the inside was frozen.
The rate is lower compared to other hotels around. But if you value comfort and convenience, I'd think twice.
The staff were...

My wife and I recently stayed at Hotel Dream World in Manila, opting for their private Sweet Room #1 on the 8th floor #811. Given its local standing, we had realistic expectations and were pleased with what we got. The hotel's front entrance is warm and inviting, and the breakfast selection is quite good.
The location is excellent, being next to SM Mall, which offers a wide range of shopping, dining, and entertainment options and near to subways and buses. We appreciated the convenience, especially since our meeting venue was nearby. Although the room was spacious, it lacked a luxurious feel, and the initial darkness was noticeable. However, considering the price, we felt it was a good value.
A special shoutout to Bot, who listened to our concerns and addressed them promptly, and to Darwin, who was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the front desk was operational 24/7, giving us peace of mind.
While we're satisfied with our stay, we suggest that the hotel management invest in certain projects to enhance the guest experience. Overall, we'd recommend Hotel Dream World to those looking for a convenient, last minute and affordable stay in Manila, but advise doing some...
