Hannas's Place — Hotel in San Juan

We stayed in Hanna's Place for 3 nights during our time in Siquijor. The room was clean, spacious and had a nice bathroom too. The shower is powerful and had plenty hot water. The aircon was good and they also provide a fan incase of a power cut. There is a lovely deck to sit and enjoy breakfast outside the room. We felt secure and safe there. It is a close scooter ride to all the tourist attractions including 5mins to Paliton beach. The only negative to the entire place is the fact that it's right alongside the road which can be noisy late into the night. We were woken by it a few times. Otherwise this place was perfect. |The hosts were so helpful whenever we needed them. We enquired about renting scooters and they had them delivered to Hanna's place within 15mins. Couldn't have asked for more. She recommended a dive shop and brought me over to speak with them about it. She was so kind. |Overall it was a great stay and would definitely recommend it to...

What a find. This excellent guesthouse on the outskirts of San Juan is one we'll always remember and one we would recommend to fellow travellers on a budget. Okay it's basic. But you know what? It was really comfortable, the Internet was reasonably good for the Islands, it had gallons of hot water. the bed linen and towels were very clean and it had a good sized balcony to enjoy the gardens and quiet nights. Head of house Rowana was happy and helpful. We loved her determination to do better and expand the business. Our one complaint was no fridge in the room. For us that is essential. But Rowana assures us that is her next project and we totally believe her....

We have just spent two nights here and were delighted with our room. It is spacious, sparkling clean, and has a fan as well as air conditioning. The bathroom is great, having a separate shower, so the floor and toilet stay dry. The little terrace overlooks the garden which is very pretty. There is a great restaurant just 2 minutes walk away and the beach is just across the road. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful and provided ice, hot water and sorted out our laundry, which was great. You can also rent a scooter.
