Excellent find! From the moment we entered (during massive street music festival) to the goodbye 4 days later this was our home in Lodz. Pietryna is new, located in fully renovated historic buildings, with respect for history and a nod to modern design. Very comfortable bed. We had a large room, at the far end from Piotrkowska street so very quiet. AC didn’t work properly at the beginning but staff solved it quickly. Excellent wifi. We found two English language channels on TV. Very nice breakfast buffet, with specialty coffees, was included in our room rate. Special nod to Victor, a waiter who was very polite and professional. Actually, the entire staff of the hotel went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We had dinner in the restaurant and would come back for that too. Nice ambiance, good food and great music, at just the right volume. They have several parking spots at extra charge in the courtyard, a bit tight in the evening, but the staff helps with finding a spot. Piotrkowska is a mostly pedestrian street and it was easy to start our morning run from there to Park Staromiejski/area. The hotel manager was lost in his own versions of lies... he claimed that I did not answer the phone from the reception to confirmation of the reservation... at my request, he was unable to provide the number or the time at which someone allegedly called... later I heard that an e-mail had been sent to me... which I also did not receive and the manager was also unable to prove that the e-mail was sent... I spent 50 min at the reception to get a real justification for the cancellation of my reservation... to no avail... After the whole unpleasant situation, I was forced to stay in another hotel... it's good that the reception arranged rooms in another hotel, otherwise I would have been left with absolutely nothing... it doesn't change the fact that I was deceived. I will never risk visiting this hotel again, especially with a small...

Tick!||Tea, coffee and a kettle were on offer.||WiFi worked properly.||The curtains were very good in blocking light.||There was no noise from adjoining rooms.||The bathroom was pink, not a colour to my liking. The walk-in shower worked well. A hairdryer was present.||The aircon was ever so slightly noisy but was effective.||Breakfast was available for PLN69 but I...
