The hotel is cheap and cheerful but has most things you need.||||The bed was really comfy and had the softest linen (although 2 very soft and thin pillows). The shower and sink were both huge and when the water worked, there was good pressure and heat.||||Unfortunately we had several issues:||No handle on the shower door.||The shower door wouldn't shut so water leaked onto floor (and we had to shower in the corner of the cubicle so as not to flood the floor further).||We had to ask for toilet roll, it seemed like it was rationed!||The soap wasn't filled up.||We stayed for 2 weeks and the room wasn't vaccuumed for the first 7 days.||The bar was shut.||||The bigger issues were the lack of heating and hot water/water pressure.||||The heating didn't work on the first day and after checking with reception, they gave us a heater to use (with a broken leg). On our 11th day, the manager told us that the heating was turned off at the moment and the air con was automatic. I'm not sure why we weren't told that on our first day when we'd tried to heat the room for 1.5hrs.||||Probably due to this and the lack of bathroom extraction, the room was very damp and our clothes smelled damp after 5 days. There was 1 shelf and 4 hangers so no way to air our clothes.||||The water issues were frequent to start with. Between approx 11.00-11.45 there was no hot water and then from 12.00 onwards, there was no pressure. One day, the water stopped at 10.30am. We called reception (from a mobile as they don't have phones in the rooms) and were told that no rooms had water and it was being fixed. I went to reception and the manager explained that a pipe had burst and it should be fixed within 15 minutes. It was fixed 45 minutes later and they notified me 1.5 hours after that. Luckily after that, there were no further issues with the water.||||We were offered a new room but it seemed too much hassle (and the rooms on the front and park-side of the hotel were noisy). We were given a partial refund during our stay for all the inconvenience.||||Despite the issues, I might stay again for a short stay in summer as it is good value, but I'd probably check everything worked before unpacking. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for...
Read moreThe employers were polite and spoke English. I also liked that there is a small shop near the reception so you can buy snacks and water. The rooms are big as well as the bathrooms. A table, a TV, a place for luggage - generally everything looked very well and promising. However, when you look closer, you find quite a few issues. The biggest issue for me was hair - on bedsheets, blankets, sink and shower. The drain was broken or not attached properly (it would float while I was taking a shower). A friend that lived in another room also had an issue with a shower and informed the reception. Not enough towels - I lived with my boyfriend and in the bathroom, there were 3 towels - two big and one for feet. I don't know if the personnel thinks that two people can just use a mutual towel or they forgot to give one more- it was unclear. We were staying only 2 nights so I did not talk about that with employers cuz my stay was pretty busy. The quality of the sheets is not the best - it is full of synthetic fabric. It electrizes your hair and for me, it was a big issue. The pillows are too thin - you cannot even feel them under ur head. The breakfast is not bad but not great too - a lot of food is not covered and because of that bread soon becomes very hard, people can sneeze and cough on it and in my case there was a fly sitting on food and flying in the room. But the food tasted fine - the omelettes were pretty good. I liked that there were two coffee machines and a machine with different juices. As I said, for people that do not care and do not pay attention to details, there would be no issues. Generally, it is not too bad but for the price, I expected more. Even though there is room for improvement, we are grateful for your polite service and wish...
Read moreMy husband and I went on a trip to the city of Łódź. We stayed at a hotel from Thursday to Sunday (08.08-11.08) and traveled by our own car. On Thursday, when we arrived, there were no spots available in the street parking. My husband approached the reception, and the administrators said that we could park the car in the underground parking. However, when we tried to enter, the gate wouldn’t open. We called the reception, and one of the administrators came out to open the gate for us, but she looked displeased and immediately went back inside. This same woman was working today (August 11th). We had already paid for parking in advance (on August 10th), but today, when we were checking out and returning the room key, she couldn’t find the parking payment in the system. She just said “No” and that was it! Thankfully, we kept the receipt! Which we recommend everyone do! After we showed her the receipt, she was visibly unsettled. It was clear that she was confused. It’s a shame that such people work in the service industry, as their actions can ruin other...
