Dear lord, where to start? ||||Let's start from first impression. ||||Arrived at 13:34, as information on booking.com (we booked it through it) says check in opens at 13:30, their website says this same. ||||But at reception some young unpleasant girl told us that room is not ready and it will be ready at 15:00 (they need to clean it). ||Asked kindly why is that as all information says it should be open at 13:30. ||The only answer we heard was "we're changing that". No explanation, no apologises, nothing.||||Another thing is that we've been told that check out is at 11:00 where at booking.com you can see that it supposed to be 11:30. Also there are information in toilet and inside room that check in starts at 2pm and check out is at 11am.. Where is the truth?||So LYING is their way to do the business. Very unprofessional. ||||We left our luggage and went looking for some place to wait 1,5 hours. ||||Came back later and then another unprofessional surprise. ||||Guy at reception asked us "How many beddings do you want?"||Hmmm, I've looked at my partner, she glared at me surprised, asked politely "Sorry but what do you mean by how many beddings do we want?", now the one from him "How many people gonna sleep, one or two?", we stared there speechless until my partner said that we booked this room for two people. ||||Guy started looking for linen in a back room (just a small reminder, they've told us that they are cleaning this tiny room - 2 hours before that). ||I thought "It can't be that they don't even have beds ready...no that's just nightmare...", but then reality struck me in the face. ||He took us upstairs with beddings in his hands and showed us room (which I had to open with a key he gave me). So we needed to make beds on our one!!! So be prepared for DIY hostel!!!||||We asked about towels, and heard that it's extra paid (5zł per towel), not mentioned on booking.com as well.||||Corridor is really dark, apart of Christmas tree lights no other source of light. So when you're coming back from loo you need to double check the number on the doors, which are in black colour. ||||Now the bed, it is broken or something but whey you lay on a left hand side you feel like falling deep inside of it and right side is raising itself. Every move makes utter noise. ||I feel like sleeping on just a mattress on the ground would be better. Everything is falling apart including linen. ||||Also paper thin walls makes it incredible noisy, you can hear every sound made on corridor and surrounding rooms. ||||Another thing, smoke alarm is duct taped to surface :D Safety first?||||There is a TV in the room, it has....one channel :D I started feeling like back in PRL now, sorry then it would have had at least two channels ;)||||We've been in many budget hostels, and I can understand that you can't expect 5* for this price. But what they're doing is just unfair and insulting and it feels like a lunch of children playing house- ridiculous. ||||Avoid this place! It is total mess. You can find better value...
Read moreFirst things first. We had a massive trouble finding a hostel. The instructions provided was not clear, we were walking around in a hurry for 50 minutes in a terrible weather conditions, hoping to desperetaly find a safe place to put our luggage and have a good nights sleep, because another long day of travel was awaiting. Eventially when we found the gates, they were locked!! Closed, and you would not in any way find the entrance yourself. However fortunately an outside cleaner from another building came and showed us a way. |I rang the bell to the hostel but no answer. (On a website it says it is a 24/7 reception desk, that is why we chose that hostel in a first place). After few minutes we tried to open the hostel doors, and the building was empty. There was no people inside, just a message saying "will be back soon". We waited for around 40 minutes inside hoping someone will show up, unfortunately no one did. Finally we decided to leave the Music Hostel and continue our journey (without any rest whatsoever!!!), because at this time many hotels were either full or too expensive for our budget. |Terrible, terrible experience. Everything reminded a scene from a horror movie. By the way we had two childrens with us, and they was pretty scared with whole situation. |Everything is alright now and we almost arrived to Switzerland, but just ask yourself what we had to experience? Hotels like these should...
Read moreI recently stayed at Music-Hostel in Łódź and had a fantastic experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to offer tips about the local area or assist with any needs. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.
The common areas are cozy and well-equipped, making it easy to relax or socialize with other guests. I particularly enjoyed the communal kitchen, which was spotless and had all the necessary amenities for cooking meals. The location is excellent, situated in the heart of Łódź, close to many attractions, restaurants, and public transport options.
Overall, Music-Hostel offers great value for money with its affordable rates, excellent service, and unique ambiance. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Łódź looking for a memorable and...
