Probably one of the rudest female receptionists I have ever met. Her only job is to ensure that people feel welcomed and glad to have reserved a place at her hostel/apartment, but she was the worst. It all started out with me having a reservation at her hostel. I went there and then she told me to leave even though I had a reservation. I wanted to look at the rooms and the kitchen, but she refused to even let me see the place. She then lied to me and said there was no lockers when in fact there were. This place has nothing to be proud of either. There is no stovetop and the place had a very bad smell. She (Ukrainian or Russian woman with medium dark hair - middle aged) should leave her nationalistic attitude to herself and not ruin other people's day from her state of being. She was completely out of line and nationalistic and even canceled my reservation even though I was willing to stay, but she refused. Stay away from this place for she is toxic to the people she doesn't even know and unwilling to go the extra mile for any mishaps! I tried to save face with her and speak to her in Russian, but she insisted to make my day miserable cause she has a horrible attitude and way of dealing...
Read moreI'll start with the positive: the facilities (rooms, bathrooms, living area...) are quite nice. That's it. Otherwise this place is a disaster and should be avoided at all cost. Picture this: there was not a single lock between the street and my bed. The building door, hostel door and room doors are open 24/7. The only semblance of security is some tiny drawers that only allow small pad locks and could be broken or simply carried out by anybody. As there are no keys to be given there is rarely anyone at reception. And when there is, they were usually dealing with distraught travellers whose reservations weren't appearing on their "system" (it was a basic excel sheet...). We were among the lucky ones in that when we arrived there was a note welcoming us, but 2 days into our 3 night stay we returned from our day to find our luggage in the living area and being told to leave. After firmly telling the old lady working there (who seemingly didn't speak a word of English) that we had another night she disappeared for a while before eventually telling us all was ok! At the same time another girl seemed to be dealing with a more serious issue. This place...

One of the receptionists (and there was only her at the time) did not speak English. But that was not the worst thing, we could still communicate somehow. What was unacceptable was the chaos that was their booking system. We booked for 2 people for 2 nights in advance via hostelworld and paid a deposit online. Upon arrival we paid, stayed there one night and next day went sightseeing. When we returned to the hostel at 8pm to have dinner all our stuff was in plastic bags at the reception (!!!!!!), the room was locked (we were not given keys) and there was noone from the management at the reception. Finally after about 2 hours we resolved the situation: the management overbooked the hostel and we were asked to leave. They found alternative hostel for us and called us a taxi but did not pay for either of those two things (would expect for them to pay at least for the taxi). The other receptionist resolving the situation was nice but overall I would not recommend anyone to go there. Find another hostel and save yourself...
