Outstanding Stay, Staff, Service & Location !!!
I would like to begin by thanking you and your staff for a truly wonderful, warm and comfortable stay.
Even though certain areas of the property can do with a refresh and modernisation such as the ground floor bar, restaurant and the bathrooms in the guest rooms, the quality of your staff more then made up for this.
It was our second stay at your property and having stayed at numerous other properties within your beautiful city, I can safely say with my hand on my heart that your staff and especially your room division team, who we had most inactions with, are without doubt the best, warmest and most professional in Krakow.
I would like to give a special mention to Anna and Mirela who did our check-in and check-out beautifully and were kind enough to grant us a complimentary room upgrade at check-in and a late check-out due to our late flight, which made our stay even more special and comfortable.
However the star of the show and our stay was your Angel that goes by the name of Monika Jelen. From the moment we walked into the property from the basement car park looking lost and in need of direction, she was there to guide us.
Later that same day, I had the pleasure of meeting Monika again whilst looking round the property as she was at the Spa reception and her natural warmth, kindness and sincerity shone through and it really made me feel welcome . Then whilst taking she informed me that she was actually part of the Concierge team and was just helping out in the spa, but said that even though she was currently in the Spa, she would be delighted to help me with any needs, questions, reservations or recommendations I had, which I found super kind and professional at the same time.
The next day Monika was back in her natural habitat at the Concierge desk. All I can say is that if there is something that Monika does not about Krakow, then it is seriously not worth knowing, because her knowledge and recommendations of places to go, things to do and places to eat were outstanding. If she was a footballer, she would definitely be Robert Lewandowski, as every recommendation hit the target everytime without fail and we are so grateful to her this, as it made our stay in Krakow even more special and memorable.
I then was shocked to hear from someone else within the property that Monika has been at the hotel for nearly 20 years. I was shocked for two reasons, firstly because she looks way to young to have been there so long and secondly because of her passion for her job and the city. Her freshness, humility and enthusiasm for her job and for delighting her guests and always trying to surpass their expectations is soooo rare, especially for someone who has been at the same place for such along period of time.
Please look after the Jewel in your Crown and the best Concierge in Krakow and I truly hope that she gets the rewards, appreciation & recognition that she so definitely deserves because she is an outstanding ambassador for your property and is a big factor of why I will return to your property instead of another, next time I come to...
Read moreI've been to Krakow four times already (February 2009, October 2010, April 2011 & July 2011) and I’ve stayed in the Sheraton on every occasion.
There’re many hotels in Krakow but when I was choosing between several options, I chose the Sheraton because I wanted a trusted brand. However since I stayed in the Sheraton Krakow for the first time, I honestly didn’t have to look any further (hotel) every time I’ve come back.
The minute you walk into the hotel you notice how spacious the installations are (interiors) and how clean they are. I have never experienced any delay during the check-in / check-out process and the rooms have always been very clean. In short, for me all services provided by this hotel have always been impeccable.
Of course that’s the sort of things that you’d expect from a five star hotel; however the asset, I believe, that sets this hotel apart from any hotel brand and location that I’ve been to, definitely is the friendship of the staff. They’re always very amiable, helpful, always salute you with a smile whenever you pass by any of them and you feel that there’s a genuine sense of care for us (guests) and that’s the kind of things that make you feel at home, even though you’re so far from it.
No matter what you need during your stay, you can ask anyone from the staff and if he/she can’t help you, they promptly find someone who can.
The restaurant olive is very good; I’ve only been there for breakfast buffet but no matter what your taste for food is, they surely have it. The “Someplace Else” restaurant is also good; I’ve heard that people don’t like it much; but for me since the restaurant is of the “Tex-Mex” food type, which is actually the very taste of home, I can’t complain at all.
The hotel’s bar is also very good. I went there four nights in a row the last time I was there to try all types of Polish vodka. The staff in charge of the bar gave me detailed explanations of the vodka’s flavor and the way it should be served and they were very amiable.
Even the last time I was there, the executive assistant manager welcomed me when I arrived to the hotel and gave me his business card so I could contact him should I needed something. How many times does that happen when you travel?
All I can say is “thank you” to the Sheraton Krakow staff for making my stays a truly “home...
Read moreThe Sheraton Grand deserves more than 5 stars. It's not just about the fabulous location with views of Wawel Castle and the Vistula River. It's the fabulous service, breakfast, and club access that makes it the best option in Kraków. ||We stayed in a corner deluxe suite right across from the Sheraton Club on the first floor. It was so convenient for us. We're early risers, and it's so nice to be able to just walk across the hall for coffee, tea, juice, and fruit. We also visited that lounge in the evening on a daily basis. The hot snacks served there are more like a meal. We had some delicious polish soups, pork meatballs, grilled chicken, and pasta dishes. The apple pie there is absolutely delicious. There were different desserts each day, and the staff were great in keeping the serving area clean and with their knowledge of wines. It was a great way to end the day.||The breakfast bar and kitchen service were great. They cook your eggs to order and make omelets. There was always some kind of Mediterranean or Asian side dish available as well as traditional Polish sausage, breads, and pastries. The crisp vegetable samosas or crispy wonton bites were my favorite sides along with the grilled mushrooms and crispy hash browns. The buffet had just about everything. The fruit was fresh. More so than any buffet I've ever been to. I wish I had taken a picture of the watermelon.||Our room was the perfect size for the two of us. It was very comfortable and clean. I was very happy with the water pressure in the shower, as well as the storage space. The air conditioning also worked well. No issues with accommodations whatsoever.||The service was fantastic! My husband remembered how well they treated him when visiting back in 2002. That's why he recommended we stay here. He was so right. I wish I could name everyone on the staff. The ones we remember the most are Alicia and Peter. They were always so helpful and nice, but everyone was great. We wouldn't hesitate in booking this hotel again if we ever make it back to Kraków. It was such a great experience from...
