Frentomar — Hotel in Albufeira

First the position. The hotel is ten minutes walk from the centre of the Old Town and fifteen minutes walk, in the other direction, from the marina. It is less than five minutes walk from the beach. Great eating places are close by, such as O Penedo (100% excellent), Tenis Pizza (also 100% excellent) and Indian Ocean.||Now the building. The hotel is small and the rooms are small but everything is functional and clean. We had a very small balcony overlooking the sea. Hot water was always available. Towels were changed on a daily basis and the bed was made by very pleasant and diligent ladies. There was a communal kitchen available in the basement which we did not use. Tea and coffee facilities were in the room. The aircon was excellent. There is a safe in the room which requires a refundable €20 deposit.||The owner was very helpful with any requests.||I would recommend Hotel Frentomar to anyone who accepts practicality over luxury and I would certainly stay...

What a fantastic find! Just enjoyed a 10 day stay at this lovely family run hotel in Albufeira old town. The location is spot on, the hotel overlooks the fabulous beach with the lift down to it just a few steps away. The rooms are immaculately clean (as is the whole hotel) with air con, TV and fridge to keep your own food and drink cold. Cleaning of the| room is daily with towels and linen also changed frequently. Bruno the manager is kind and helpful if you have any questions. No pool but with the beach on your doorstep not required. A Few great places to eat close by too, Openido, Atrium, Indian Ocean and Jardin de Mer just a few we would recomend. A little bar called Sol Risa a beautiful place to chill and relax with a cocktail overlooking the sea. We had a great holiday and wouldn't hesitate to recomend this lovely...

We were over joyed with this small but perfectly formed hotel. Two star but absolutely spotless and friendly. We had a top floor room with a wonderful view. The room was simple but had everything we needed. Bruno on reception was very friendly and helpful. Perfect for those who want to be away from the chaos but want to be within reach of the action. The elevator to the beach was really close by and a stroll into the old town with bars, restaurants and shops. There’s a small cat sanctuary right next door if you are a cat lover and a small bar across the narrow street for a quiet beer after walking back from the beach or old town.
