Location good for us, in centre of old town. However, could be too loud for other travellers as close to bars.

Steer clear of Apartment 2 - should not be let out to guests! Serious damp and mould problem. We booked here for a week - seemed clean enough upon check in, but did notice the dehumidifier unit. However as a couple of days went by, the damp in the room just got worse. Dehumidifier filled within 10 hours so kept needing emptied. The bedding and our clothes started to feel damp. Strong smell of damp upon check in which got worse as our stay went on. Couldn't get towels dry so this added to the smell. So damp it is surely not safe/healthy. Owner did provide clean towels and bedding half way through the stay when requested - helped temporarily, but these were left damp by the end of our stay also. Seen how disgusting the mattress/duvet/pillows were with marks when I had to change this bedding. Tried to keep the apartment well ventilated with windows open/dehumidifier running as advised and spraying air freshener which we had to get, but there was nothing we could do to stop it getting worse. In summary - a health hazard and a lot of the clothes taken with us have now been binned due to the damp. Oh and can't forget the cockroach in the apartment - luckily appeared just before we checked out.

Reached out to both the owner and booking.com during and after our stay pleading for alternative accommodation / a resolution. Multiple phone calls and messages - about a month on from our stay and no further. Shocked this apartment is still being advertised and available for booking as the owner and Booking.com have been made aware of the above issues. They really need to get to the bottom of what's causing this and have it fixed properly before it is fit for guests. This is Apartment 2, advertised as 'One Bedroom' but is a studio, which we knew before going as was pictured as such so that wasn't an issue. It is on the ground floor (could almost say basement) - as the windows are level with the busy path outside. Kept the shutters closed as would feel very looked in on with these open, so apartment was really quite dark. Was really disappointed as photos look lovely, so just wanted to write this to make others aware before booking. The room had a strong smell of mold, and the signs of it were visible, causing our clothes to absorb the unpleasant odor and feel somehow wet. Although the room was initially clean upon arrival, no cleaning service was provided during our stay, which made the experience even more unpleasant. The location is superb, and the host let us check in a bit earlier, but the room itself wasn't great. The bedding was ripped (pictures attached), and the basement apartment was too humid due to lack of windows, so the towels didn't dry in between uses.
