Globo Happy Hostel — Hotel in Angra do Heroísmo

Wonderful hostel! 😊 I stayed 3 nights in the female dorm and had a great stay. The location is perfect (near the bus, next door to a grocery store, just a few minutes from the water). Despite being located so centrally, it was quiet at night; I had no problem sleeping. Everything was super clean. The female dorm room sleeps only 4 and has its own bathroom, which is a plus. The kitchen and dining area has everything you need, including tea and coffee. Carla is so welcoming and very responsive if you have any questions or needs while staying there. The hostel has a quiet, calm vibe that I loved. It almost felt more like a coworking space. The one thing I would change is that when people are smoking just outside the kitchen or common area, the smoke blows inside a lot and I felt like I was breathing in cigarettes. I ended up in this hostel by a coincidence and it was very very cozy. It is completely renovated building, really extremely modern for Portuguese standards :) For the breakfast there was a huge variety of things to choose from, probably anything you can imagine. The staff is nice as and professional as well and overall I really enjoyed the stay. The only thing is, it was a bit too expensive for a budget traveler (just up the road a few hundred meters there is a place to stay for half the price), but if the price is ok for you, it is definitely worth the experience! ||Oh, another little thing that I wasn't completely happy about is the presence of the main road just under the window, so the cars can be a bit disturbing... but it's because the hostel is really directly at the city center, which is a very...

The property has a spacious common area with fully equipped kitchen, free tea, and filtered coffee available.

The whole has been regularly cleaned.

The beds are comfortable. I felt very comfortable staying there.

I found the room size too small. During peak season with full capacity could feel overcrowded.

All the staff is extremely polite and attentive. They go an extra mile to make your stay as good as possible.
