It could be not a bad place to stay if.. The street next to the hotel is so noisy that we were able to sleep only with closed windows, wooden shutters and earplugs. Noisy people outside went home closer to 3 am not even then we couldn't open windows to refresh the room because the road is paved in stone and cars driving every 5-10 minutes even after 3am rumbled like a airplanes inside your head. The hotel offers 5 rooms and 3 of them are next to this street. The room itself was good. Just the bed linen was too small and we woke up on the bare mattress (do they know about existence of the sheets with elastic?) The service was awful. We had a feeling that we are not the guests but the ones who were done a favour to live here and pay. 1. Wi-fi did not work (though we were given a workaround network) 2. The first hotel without possibility to do the ironing. 3. We've got only one set of towels for 2 of us. When we reached the hotel service, we were asked to update number of travellers in booking.com first. This process may take up to 24 hours, so one more day passed by. We received our second set of towels only in the evening of our 3d (and the last) day and after emotional discussion. That's not what you are waiting for on vacation. To the request to change current towels we were offered to pay 20 eur additionally.

This was a very pleasant unit. Spacious room, superbly located for touring and restaurants. Appreciated the large bathroom for a city-center location. An ability to store luggage securely when we arrived early and timely communication made this great. Self check-in worked well. Loved the new, soft towels and appreciated the carafe of port on the table. This includes a nice sitting area with windows that can open or close, facing a clock tower. The beer place is immediate below the window, nut quiets down. No elevator but we pack light.

Positive:||Breakfast served at a close by little cafe named Biscoito. Good coffee, attentive owner and staff. They also considered my food intolerances.||Friendly check in by assistant Elsa. ||||If you like it loud, you are a party animal it might be the right place to stay. No single night within a 5 night stay a night of good sleep was possible. The party goes on every night at least until 5am and then the daily noises start. Street cleaning, fighting couples, screaming school kids etc. ||The apartment itself is much smaller than indicated and bathroom does not allow any privacy. Coated glass boxes amid the room for shower cabin, toilet and as well for kitchen. I do wonder what the creator intended as it could have solved more in style. Further no room to store your tools for showering in the box nor to hang a towel in the bathroom. ||No cleaning, towel or bed linen change (only every other 7 night) during our 5 night stay. Broken lights need several reminders to get replaced.||Resume overpriced...
