I am really not picky when it comes to food or locations but this is the worst place I have been to in a while. There were many fruit flies (I counted 18 of them), while eating we were both constantly afraid we would swallow a fly. When we told the staff he just said "we know that, but it takes some days". Really makes you question the hygiene of the kitchen.
As for the food, it was a real disappointment as well. As a starter we had cheese balls and stuffed mushrooms, which were okay. Then we had two vegan burgers: Come e Cale and Que Lerica, both with french fries. The buns were not warm and of poor quality, the burgers were rather small. The Come e Cale burger had no real taste, it was more like a mashed mix of the ingredients. The salad didn't taste very fresh. The Que Lerica burger was very dry, we had to add ketchup to make it edible. We were not asked which sauce we wanted for the french fries, and the service wasn't too friendly.
Oh, did I mention that the toilets are broken (and not wheelchair accessible), the soap dispenser is almost falling off? Yeah, just confirms the overall image of this place.
Really glad when we could finally leave, I would definitely advise against...
Read moreGreat burger! I ate here on a Sunday early evening. It wasn’t very busy at that time but they had a steady flow of customers. Clean and neat place with cute decorations. Most importantly, the food was great! I ordered the #1 Andor Bioleta with the sauce on the side and chips.
Bread was fresh and seemed like they bake it fresh daily. The meat was so well seasoned and juicy, the burger didn’t need the sauce at all. (It came with a honey mustard sauce.) Dressed with grilled seasoned mushrooms, cheese, tomato, and arugula. Chips were fresh made and lightly salted, just right. I appreciate that European restaurants often don’t use so much salt, while the food is tasty.
Service was efficient and friendly. The location is much bigger than it looks from the outside.
I saw they have a healthy selection of bottled beers, and sangria. I enjoyed my red sangria. There is also a gelato case. A very nice casual place for food and drinks. Recommended if you’re in the...
Read moreSolid hamburgers and nice French fries with oregano. There is a wide variety of burgers and the staff is friendly and eager to answer any questions you might have. The drinks are also fairly priced (2€ for a 1.5l bottle of water); however, they simply put a plastic bottle of water on the table - this could be replaced with a carafe for a nicer presentation. The burger was delicious and with around 7-9€ a good value. The atmosphere in the restaurant could be improved. It has a nice wooden floor and some local artsy items, but the lights are a bit bright and blue-ish which creates a somewhat cooler atmosphere. This effect gets even more pronounced when you compare it to the restaurant “Frankie’s” next door, which has a lovely and warm decor. All in all, this is a great place for a burger. Minor improvements could be made to achieve a 5-star rating. Overall, I had a good time at DeGema and wouldn’t mind...
