Our stay at Prim & Proper was truly unforgettable. It easily ranks among the best hotel experiences we've ever had. The staff were exceptional – incredibly helpful and friendly. We had a very early morning train departure (7:25 am!) for Pocinho, and they went above and beyond to ensure a smooth start to our day. They surprised us with a delicious breakfast box filled with a Porto croissant stuffed with ham and cheese, orange juice, and a mix of fresh fruits. This thoughtful gesture perfectly captured the exceptional service we received throughout our stay.
Choosing a hotel can be overwhelming, especially with Porto's vast selection. Finding a place that felt like a comfortable haven was a top priority for us. Prim & Proper exceeded our expectations in every way. Our room (number 4.2) was a dream come true – stylishly designed, spacious, and a lovely Porto rooftop view. Each evening, we couldn't wait to return after exploring the city and unwind in this cozy haven.
The location was simply unbeatable. We were within walking distance of all the major sights and surrounded by renowned local restaurants like Casa Guede(for pulled-pork sandwich) and Cafe Santiago(for Francesinha), perfect for indulging in Porto's incredible food scene. Prim & Proper became the ideal base for exploring everything Porto had to offer.
Prim & Proper wasn't just a hotel; it was an experience. They provided a perfect environment to relax and truly feel at home. The staff's attentiveness and thoughtful touches, like the breakfast box, made all the difference. If you're searching for a comfortable and luxurious place to stay in Porto, look no further than Prim & Proper. It's a gem you won't want to miss!

Read moreMy fiance and I stayed here for our last few nights in Porto and we wish we had been here the entire time. We had originally booked an airbnb on the river that was dirty and loud and booked at Prim&Proper at 11pm our first night in a panic because we were so miserable. When we got to Prim&Proper, we were so relieved. Quiet, clean, and easily walkable to the main tourist stuff without being in the madness, the real thing that stands out about Prim&Proper are the staff. Marta, Lionel, Susie, Darlene and everyone else were so welcoming and so, so incredibly kind and helpful. We told Marta we were visiting and the next day she had printed off suggestions and gave us a map of Porto to help guide us on our way.||On our last night, my fiance hurt his stomach (he has a recurring ulcer) and Lionel and the staff came to the rescue, first giving me directions to the grocery store, and then letting me borrow the kitchen kettle & a bowl to make plain porridge to help settle his stomach. The next day, Susie let me take his breakfast up to the room so he could sleep in. We are so incredibly grateful to how kind and helpful everyone is.||Also, the breakfast & welcome drink wine were EXCELLENT! Probably the best breakfast I've had in a while and definitely the best of our trip.||Can't stress enough how much we enjoyed our stay. The balcony with the garden view is gorgeous and the rooms are modern and spacious. The bathtub was really nice after a long day of walking up and down a million stairs. It was easy to get to everything and the staff really made the experience. Thank you again, from Becca & David! We appreciate you all! ||If the owner reads this, please give your staff a raise, especially my girl Marta!...
