American traveler - please 'thumbs up' if helpful
I was a bit underwhelmed with the Prego. I read so much about it and was really looking forward to it but when I saw it in person it was a little disappointing. To be fair, they did recommend and almost insisted that I try it with cheese but I declined because I wasn't feeling very well; take the cheese. The meat was of great quality and better than I have found in other restaurants so far. Originally, I thought it was undercooked but looking at all the other reviews it appears that it was served at the intended temperature. If I go back I will certainly be asking for it to be cooked just a hair more as I personally prefer a medium-rare.
Finally, they open at 12:30 but I strongly recommend not arriving before 1 in order to give everyone a chance to get set up. We were still getting used to European dining times when we visited and we went right when then opened. The owner/manager was incredibly helpful and attentive but you could tell than he was getting the staff in gear for the day.

I was in a group and we had a disappointing experience. We arrived with the intention of enjoying a few drinks, but we were unaware of the restaurant's policy that requires patrons to order food as well. Unfortunately, the waiter who served us was very rude in explaining this policy after we were already having our drinks, and he made us feel unwelcome.
What bothered us the most was the fact that no one had explained the policy to us when we entered the restaurant, and instead of trying to find a solution, the staff simply tried to force us to order food or simply get us to leave. I'm usually aware of when there are a line of people waiting to sit, but tables beside us were empty.

Read moreI recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at a restaurant that was absolutely terrible in terms of service. The waiter, who was responsible for our table, was completely incompetent and seemed to have no desire to do his job well.
Not only did he bring out every single dish incorrectly, but he also had a very bad attitude when we tried to speak to him about it. He seemed to be completely unaware of his own attitude and made no effort to correct it or apologize for the poor service we were receiving.
As a group of diners, we were extremely disappointed with the lack of attention and the poor service we received. It was clear that the waiter didn't care about his job or providing good service to his customers.
