My S.T.A.R. Review: Marriott Executive Apartments
S – Space Our stay was truly unforgettable, especially for the kids. The facilities were outstanding…perfect for families. They have three pools (one indoor for adults, one outdoor for adults, and a dedicated kids’ pool with slides) all on the rooftop, giving it a mini waterpark feel. They have a huge jacuzzi as well .The play areas are just as impressive: an outdoor playground beside the kids’ pool, an indoor play space with a racetrack design and pretend play toys (plus a kid-friendly toilet), and another indoor soft play area with trampoline, ball pit, and slides at Building E. The kids were beyond happy! The apartment itself felt like a cozy villa (reminded me of Crosswinds Tagaytay), complete with a full kitchen stocked with appliances, cookware, and tableware. I booked three apartments (two 2BR and one 1BR), and the 2BR unit surprised me with four bathrooms…very spacious and convenient for families.
T – Toiletries Toiletries were generous and practical, provided in pump bottles for easy use. They also supplied toothbrushes, plenty of blankets, and pillows. Charging ports were abundant (with USB outlets), and Chromecast was available…a thoughtful touch for modern travelers.
A – Ambience The overall vibe was cozy and family-friendly. The furniture was stylish, interiors well maintained, and the gym runs 24/7 for those who need it. Facilities are open until 10pm (except the kids’ club/kids pool, which close earlier 8pm). Having a supermarket and pharmacy at the ground floor was a huge convenience, though restaurant choices in the buildings were limited. A small downside: the corridor lights switch off automatically and only turn on with a delay, which startled the kids a few times. Sound also tends to echo through the halls, even reaching the end rooms.
R – Room/Guest Service The staff were generally warm and accommodating,helpful..special thanks to Sir Humphrey, Ms. Grace, and Ms. Iness for their excellent service. However, check-in was a bit stressful: a QAR 1,000 cash deposit per apartment (QAR 3,000 total for my three bookings) felt excessive. Something more reasonable, like QAR 500 each, would have been fair. Tho, i must acknowledge that they’ve considered that since it was booked by the same person , they asked me only 2000 (i aint happy bout it,of course) Additionally, our 1BR access card was only released after 7pm, which was inconvenient, and no late check-out consideration was given beyond 1pm.
Overall Despite the check-in hiccups, the Marriott Executive Apartments offered great value (especially through Agoda deals), family-friendly amenities, and a comfortable, well-equipped stay. With spacious apartments, kid-approved facilities, and kind staff, this is definitely a place we’d love to return to when another good...

I’ve stayed in many places across the world, but nothing has ever come close to the disaster that is the Marriott Le Mirage Citywalk in Doha. This wasn’t just disappointing – it was insulting. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would.
The fridge broke THREE times – and we lost ALL our fresh groceries each time. We ordered fresh groceries through Talabat three separate times – and three times, the fridge froze everything solid. Useless. Inedible. We complained every single time. They sent someone who gave us false advice (telling us “4” is the lowest setting – spoiler: it’s the highest). We followed their instructions and lost everything again. No compensation. No apology. Just laughter in our face – literally. They laughed. As if this was all our fault.
WIFI was non-functional – and we were blamed for it. We specifically informed them beforehand that we are working professionals and need reliable internet. The WiFi in the room was non-existent – no Zoom, no calls, nothing. Instead of helping us, they threw passive-aggressive comments at us:
“Are you sure it’s our WiFi?” “We’ve never had this issue before.” Basically blaming us instead of fixing the problem. The final insult? They told us to call the IT team ourselves. I’m not your employee. I’m a paying guest. But at this hotel, it felt like we were treated like staff – not customers.
Late checkout promised – then denied and questioned. I called two days before our departure and was told we had late checkout until 3 PM. On the day itself, they called us and demanded we leave by 12. When I explained that I had already been granted late checkout, the response was:
“Who did you talk to?” Excuse me? How would I know?! Isn’t that your job to document? They claimed nothing was in the system, and now suddenly it would cost extra. A total lie. No integrity. No accountability.
Rude staff with no basic hospitality. My friend was using the gym and forgot to put her weights away. When she returned to get her forgotten phone, she was scolded and told to clean them up – not politely, but rudely, like she was a child. What is the hotel staff for, exactly? There is zero hospitality culture here.

In summary: This place is a black hole of customer service. No respect, no solutions, no professionalism. We paid over €800 for this stay – and what we got was food thrown away, hours of frustration, and the feeling that we were an inconvenience.
This hotel should not carry the Marriott name. It has nothing to do with quality. Nothing. If I could leave negative stars, I would. Avoid this place...
Read moreThe apartments are nice but the area is horrible. There’s construction everywhere and construction noise all day. These doesn’t really bother us. Our main issue is how thin the walls are. We have a neighbor that constantly calls security on us when we have guests over. They can hear when your laughing. Actually, we can hear the neighbor’s baby crying and screaming all day, too. I can hear the neighbor using a blender. You can hear the people in the hallway which drives our dog nuts. They have changed their policies multiple times since we’ve been here. No parking for visitors, no guest other than the ones listed on the lease allowed to enjoy the amenities (what if we have family visiting from the states?), they won’t print out documents anymore, and quite frankly, for our lifestyle (fun people who loves to hang out with friends) this place is a nightmare. Our nights are always ruined by security. I’m jealous of all our other friends throwing karaoke parties at their apartments! So if you like people over for dinner and drinks, stay away! We can’t wait to finish our contract and move! So many other nicer apartments that are cheaper and provides privacy. Maybe, it’s not the apartments fault entirely, but it’s the people that live here. Someone called security on Christmas Eve at 7:30 pm because we were loud. That’s the kind of people you’re dealing with. So if you don’t want “Karen”...
