Sabai Thai used to keep up its rating in terms of offering great experience dining and serving authentic Thai Food.
During our recent visit to the restaurant, we had a terrible experience starting from the leader who was heading the restaurant up to the hosts.
We were about 4 adults and 5 children. Checked in on reservation at 8pm, settled in and placed order by around 8:20.
Served our appetisers and one main course in about half hour.
After waiting for an hour, we still did not receive our main courses and some of the kids fell asleep hungry.
When confronted the delay to the so called leader, he responded irresponsibly stating that this how it works, you get your appetisers first followed by main course.
Finally we were served the food and they were not hot and felt like they were prepared earlier and was served late.
After all this, the leader of the restaurant, despite of being aware how delayed we were served and understanding that we were upset with the service and experience did not have the audacity to confront the situation.
Very Bad Experience...
Read moreHonestly a very nice restaurant. Both their normal menu and their Friday brunch is absolutely amazing. Super sweet staff, nice vibes, cozy place, and really really really tasty food at a reasonable price (for Doha's standards). Overall, it's authentic Thai food done well.
The desert selection on the brunch was a bit meh but I think the savory food fully made up for it.
Update 01/11/2024: Went for the brunch again.
Food: Similar menu to before. Great variety of Thai curries and soups still. The Tom Yum soup is a must try. Mango Sticky Rice was absolutely phenomenal. I still believe that if you like authentic Thai food Sabai Thai is a must visit
Staff: The whole vibes of the place was great. Big shout-out to Ben. Not only is her one of the most hospitable, attentive and respectful staff I've encountered, he's generally just great to talk to. Honestly, I improved the service rating from 4 to 5 stars now just cause of him so...
