We wrote a previous review of our stay, and management wrote a response about other issues, but not the plumbing. They must have us mixed up with other guests, so we'll try again.||||This small house-type hotel has furniture from the Soviet era, and the rooms are tiny. It is also far from the Old Town area. If you want to rest before dinner, for example, you have to walk back and forth. We looked at some hotels in the Old Town, and the rooms were nicer and the same price.||||The biggest problem was the plumbing in the bathroom. As a previous reviewer mentioned (see Nearleft's review), the phone booth-type shower LEAKS! Even worse, the shower does not drain at all, so by the time I took a quick shower, the water was up past my knees. When I opened the door, the water flooded the bathroom. The bathroom sink was also stopped up as well. We tried to talk to the woman at the front desk, with the help of another guest translating. but she just walked away. Why can't the owner maintain the property?||||The next morning. we struggled to get our suitcases down the stairs, and asked the same woman at the front desk just to help a bit, and she refused.|| ||There is no "love" at...
Read moreStayed here a lot, sometime ago - 2009, 2010. Been recently across the street and remembered those times. So, please take everything I say under two circumstances: 1) it has passed some time (a minus), 2) I've stayed here for about 6 months, almost every week for 1-2 days. ||It's position is just fine: near the city center (a 10-15 minutes walk), in a good neighborhood. One can say it's a little weird at night (dogs, some gypsies in the streets nearby - Luchian the painter if I remember correctly) , but there are no problems/issues whatsoever, everything is okay. ||The inside: I've stayed in pretty much all the single rooms - not so big, but enough space (at the last floor, maybe a little bit small). Everything was well maintained and very clean.||Silence during the night.||Good breakfast - and if the weather is nice, you can have it on the terrace. ||Polite personnel. ||||One should remember this is a B and B, not a Hotel. Still, the price and quality ratio recommend it for everyone who is not fussy and...
Read moreQuiet location in walking distance to bus stops and old town. Felt safe having keys to gate, door and room. Pleasant staff. Communal areas are clean and tidy.
Housekeeping in rooms needs improving. No tea provided, only 2 sachets of coffee, no milk/creamer either. The last persons soap was left in shower. On the first day the shower gel was replenished, bed made and bins emptied but the room was not vacuumed, I had spilled some crumbs on the floor the first night and these remained for the rest of my time here. I stayed 4 nights and after the first morning, no other housekeeping was provided, even though booking said daily housekeeping, and very inconveniently I ran out of toilet roll. I visited reception at 7am, but nobody came. WiFi was intermittent and tv had no channels tuned in, although there was YouTube for when the WiFi...
