BE CAREFUL!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE from one middle-aged slightly overweight man wearing glasses at reception. Even though most other staff and other aspects were quite satisfactory, the service from this one gentleman really left a sour note for our short stay:

BOOKING TAXI TO AIRPORT (POOR SERVICE, ALMOST MISSED OUR FLIGHT) - our flight was due to leave at night and on the same day in the morning I asked reception if they can book a taxi for us at 7pm to the airport. He said they cannot book it in advance, but assured us they can book close to the time and asked us to simply come back about 10 mins before 7 to book the taxi. We returned to the hotel at 6.45pm and asked reception to book a taxi to the airport. This is where the problematic man went wrong. He said no worries, take a seat and I'll tell you when it's ready. After patiently waiting for more almost 40 mins now (it was about 7.25pm now), we saw a taxi stop at the hotel, but no-one told us it was our taxi. I then asked a lady at reception (the man was on the phone), to which the lady responded, "would you like me to book a taxi to the airport". I replied, the man said he's already booked taxi and would tell us when it has arrived. When the man finally got off the phone, he deliberately ignored me, overhearing what had happened. When I asked him about our taxi, he said "I couldn't book it, it's too busy at the moment... you can go 5 mins down the road to a taxi stand if you want a taxi". I couldn't believe it! I asked him why he didn't tell us he didn't book a taxi, and had us wait for 45 mins to no avail. He ignored me and went to serve other customers wanting to check-in, (who incidentally heard what happened and tried to help). I was extremely worried at this point that we were going to miss our flight, ALL BECAUSE OF THIS MAN'S POOR SERVICE. The bartender overheard everything that had happened as well and went to ask the man at reception. Only from the help of the bartender, the man at reception then said "your taxi will be here in 3 mins", to which a taxi came, and we promptly went to the airport, ALMOST MISSING OUR FLIGHT!! What was even more disappointing was that the man at reception did nothing to try and rectify the problem, rudely told us to find our own taxi (even though he screwed up) and tried to ignore me and the whole situation. It was only from the help of the bartender that we eventually got a taxi.

HOTEL DOOR LEFT OPEN AND UNLOCKED BY HOTEL MANAGEMENT - On the first day of our stay, after going out for some of the day, we came back to our room. Whilst the room had been made by housekeeping, we came back to an open door! Luckily nothing got stolen, but it is dangerous mistake for a supposed 4-star hotel.

Another more minor issue, but the next day I needed to wear a shirt for a formal event and wanted to borrow the hotel iron. I asked the hotel reception the night before for the iron, but they said it is unavailable until the morning from 8am with housekeeping. The next morning I asked the same man at reception (the same one who later ended up giving us a lot of trouble) said I'll call them to send it up. After waiting 40 mins to no avail, I went down again and asked the same man, who only then called housekeeping to send the iron. Housekeeping sent it in about 10 mins, and I was late to the function.

SERIOUS ISSUES from this one staff member, who never apologised or tried to rectify any situation, but after knowingly causing us a lot of stress and trouble, tried to ignore us and the situation, even telling us to find our own way. EXTREMELY...

We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights, As a 4 star hotel. we expected that they will be cleaning the rooms and doing the bed everyday. To our surprise, what they did everyday was empty the trash cans and change the towels. The bed was never done and the room and toilet were never cleaned. When I complained to the Manager, he told me that 4 star hotels in Romania only clean the rooms and change linens every 3 days. I told him that even if they donot change their linens, they should at least make the bed. We stayed at room 703 where the bed was very shaky whenever my wife or I move. I requested for a room change which was never granted. We were promised an upgrade which never happened. Obviously, the upgrade promise was to calm us down from complaining. I do not know why this hotel is getting good reviews from booking.com, if only i read reviews from google and tripadvisor, we would not have stayed in this hotel. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is the man at the breakfast, Claudio, who served us coffee every morning. Otherwise, the people at reception were rude, as i have read in some of the reviews, one even cannot speak english. I heard that this hotel was very famous 30 or 40 years ago. It is in a very bad state now, lacking in maintenance and probably housekeeping personnel. The hotel is hardly recognizable as a hotel, although it is located along the main road where people are driving like crazy. I want to thank the Manager, Vlad, for allowing us to check out late since our flight was at 7pm and also for his quick response to my complaints and requests which were merely excuses and apologies. If you are staying for 1 night, i believe there will be no problem but if you are staying longer, i think you should book another hotel. This hotel is in a very bad state now, gloomy and dark, no restaurants, gym and view deck closed. This is a very honest review...

Not as good as I thought would be... The rooms were only clean the first day that we got here...we called the reception several times but they didn't served us...our room was dirty and they never cleaned basically.... One more thing that wasn't very pleasant was that the breakfast was the same every day and it was actually not that tasty to be honest... Furthermore the elevator system was very bad everyone complained about it as it stopped in every floor for no reason at all...every time we were ending up going from the stairs which was very tiring as we were on the 8th floor....Last but not least the only thing that I was very satisfied with was the view we had such a nice view...

Hello , I spent two nights in this hotel, it was very warm, not noisy, the room was in good condition. The only negative is that the hotel is empty, I was alone and it was a little scary. And I constantly had to go down from the 8th floor back to the reception because my key card didn’t work. If you need an iron or a toothbrush with toothpaste, ask at the reception. I was allowed to leave my luggage in a certain place when my reservation ended and I needed to leave without luggage. So I can say this is a good 4 stars for the hotel

Not a 4 ⭐ more like a 3⭐ maybe when was new was 4 stars but rooms are not clean as the carpet is full of stains needs a proper cleaning and walls same full of stains. The guy from reception was in a 👕 shirt but had sport pans and shoes as well, very unprofessional for a 4⭐ we had to go every day at reception for our door card as stop working. The only nice place was restaurant and the guys from there very polite and nice.

Had an emergency and called them at 2:00 in the morning looking for a room. They have kindly answered the phone, the place was open. They gave us a quiet room that's not facing the main street, just as we asked. Ended up staying for 2 nights Very nice staff, clean rooms, good shower and Internet. Basic but nice breakfast, cheaper if booked in advance with the room.
