Hampton by Hilton Cluj-Napoca — Hotel in Cluj Metropolitan Area

We recently stayed at this hotel for the second time and our stay was perfect. Amazing room, great breakfast with many things to choose from, parking was not crowded, and all the staff constantly trying to fulfill all your needs and make your stay perfect. Iulia and Ionela made our stay perfect, and made us feel like home. We definitely recommend this hotel and we will decibel come back here in the future.

In the past I stayed at this hotel, and while there were some issues during our stay, I must acknowledge the efforts made by the hotel management to address our concerns.

Upon arrival, I discovered a pair of socks under my bed, which indicated that the cleaning was not done properly. Additionally, the breakfast area was quite small, and we initially struggled to find a free table. After waiting for about 15 minutes, we finally secured a table but then had to queue for plates, forks, and knives. Unfortunately, when we reached the counters, there was no food left, and there were no glasses or juice available. It was a disappointing experience, reminiscent of a public canteen rather than a hotel.

The parking situation was also less than ideal, with insufficient spots and some cars blocking the main access points, making it difficult for other guests to maneuver.

However, I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel manager's response to my review. They expressed genuine concern for our experience and took proactive steps to make amends. They offered a 100% refund for our stay and provided us with a complimentary voucher for a two-night stay at the hotel, valid until the end of next year, excluding blackout dates. This gesture demonstrates their commitment to exceeding guest expectations and improving the quality of service.

In light of the hotel's efforts to rectify the issues we encountered, my perspective has changed. While our initial stay was far from perfect, I am willing to give this hotel another chance in the future. It's clear that they take guest feedback seriously and are actively working to address the shortcomings we encountered.

After 6 years, I returned to Hampton Hotel Cluj, having had a wonderful experience during my last visit. Back then, I stayed for professional purposes and even wrote well deserved review. This time, I came for leisure with my family, and I am delighted to see that the high standards have been maintained.

1/The reception staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful, providing a warm and professional start to the stay. They go above and beyond to make guests feel valued. 2/ A lovely addition is the free welcome drink, which offers plenty of choices and makes you feel truly appreciated. 3/The hotel also provides free parking, which is a great convenience. While the number of spaces is quite limited, it’s manageable and adds significant value. 4/ The room was spotless clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the essential amenities. I was impressed to see slippers provided, which is exceptional for a 3-star property. It’s evident that the hotel prioritizes guest comfort and attention to details. 4/Breakfast is included and offers a wide variety of options. The breakfast staff deserves special recognition for their attentiveness and flexibility. Unlike many hotels, they didn’t rush to close the buffet at the exact time and even went from table to table to ask if we needed anything else before clearing it. This thoughtful approach truly stood out.

/!\ One unforgettable experience during this stay involved the extraordinary service of the technician and the reception staff. My son accidentally dropped a headset into a grillage in the parking area, about 2 m below the pavement. When we reported the issue in the evening, the receptionist immediately came to see the situation and assured us the technician would assist the next morning. To our pleasant surprise, when we arrived at the reception the following morning (prepared to explain the issue again ‘cause of the new shift), the headset had already been retrieved and was waiting for us in an envelope with our room number. The location of the hotel is perfect—situated just a short walk from the city center, making it incredibly convenient to explore Cluj Napoca's vibrant streets, historic landmarks, and charming cafes. Despite its central location, the hotel offers a peaceful atmosphere, allowing for a restful night's sleep.

The room was immaculate, with modern décor and all the amenities one could ask for. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and the bathroom was spotless, stocked with high-quality toiletries. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the complimentary bottled water and coffee-making facilities.

One of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary breakfast. The buffet offered a wide variety of fresh and delicious options, from local specialties to international favorites. The dining area was bright and welcoming, making for a pleasant start to the day.

The hotel also boasts excellent facilities, including a well-equipped fitness center and a business corner, which I found very useful. The free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel was fast and reliable, allowing me to stay connected with ease.
