Hotel Beyfin — Hotel in Cluj Metropolitan Area

The hotel itself is very nice and in a location central to the historic centre. We were upgraded to a suite with an amazing view of the large church and beautiful fountain out front. The breakfast was also very good. Lots of choices including traditional Romanian options. However, unfortunately I was unimpressed with the service. We had selected parking when booking so they knew we were driving. There were many streets blocked off due to a national celebration and even though the staff were aware of this, there was no communication from them about how to go about getting to their parking lot accessible only from the closed streets. After over an hour of driving around and around, we finally found a paid parking spot not far from the hotel. Apparently, they expected us to just know it was okay to drive around barricades and the wrong way down one-way streets to get to their parking. When we did finally get into the parking after we'd gone for dinner, we discovered there was no lift from the parking, so we had to drag our suitcases up the stairs from the parking. At no point did anyone working there offer us assistance as we struggled our way up. Same thing when we checked out. I suspected the upgrade was due to our obvious troubles just getting to the hotel, but if so, it wasn't enough to erase the negative experience. Overall, a beautiful spot, but very...

Hotel Beyfin is a beautiful hotel in a nice location. A convenient walk to many sites. We had a suite and it was lovely. Attention to detail is evident in the room accommodations as well as the hotel in general. We paid for the breakfast option and found a nice variety. The man in the breakfast area made sure to let us know that we should ask him if we needed anything. ||I did not notice any noise from the street. As a matter of fact, as I was enjoying coffee on the Sunday morning, I opened the balcony door and heard singing from the cathedral across the street.
