Location is nice, close to the city center, rooms quite small (compared to the bathroom, but given it's an old building it's understandable), nicely decorated, basic breakfast, BUT (and the good things end here):||||- we were 2 persons and were given a single person room (I guess) with a bed not that comfy, that looked more like a sofa - and one person had to sleep next to the wall. And at the end of the bed there was a wardrobe so harder to get up;||||- the small backyard was filled with parked cars so you had to navigate between them in order to sit for breakfast. And it's "lovely" to enjoy a meal with an engine car running at 1 meter from you... One car was parked in front of the door so you had to not fully open the door in order not to hit the car... NOT NICE AT ALL!||||This was the fault of the hotel management for allowing card in the yard.. All the streets near the hotel have public parking and the cost is 10 lei (2.5...
Read moreThe location of the hotel is excellent. The room was clean, cozy, but rather small. The towels were white and clean, although already a bit old and worn. Unfortunately, the service did not meet our expectations. We booked the hotel through Booking, where it was stated that an iron was available, but at the reception we were told otherwise. During breakfast, it was often difficult to find a free — and especially a clean — table. We had to clear dirty dishes ourselves to make space, and we noticed other guests doing the same. Some breakfast items were frequently unavailable: sometimes there was no bread and guests had to wait and request it, other times the omelet was missing. Overall, the impression of the hotel was spoiled by the attitude of the staff. The iron was not provided not because it was unavailable, but seemingly because there was no willingness to bring it, and most tasks were carried out rather slowly and...
Read moreWe were looking for three things; location, parking available at the hotel and breakfast included. The Hotel Marabella has a great location and deserves five stars because you can walk to the old town and many restaurants. However parking is deceiving, they have four spaces in the back near the breakfast area and by the time we arrived those were full. Fortunately we found a place on the street which was not metered. As many other reviewers have said the breakfast was vile - overcooked omelet pieces, greasy sausage, white break with some spreads and a coffee machine. The breakfast is so bad that I only had toast the second morning. Do not pay for breakfast, there are many cafes within a short walk and what the Marabella served was disgusting. The room was small for two people but not impossibly small. If you don't get the breakfast it is probably good value for money especially considering...
