||If you’re looking for Paradise on Earth .... this is IT!  This beautifully appointed hotel, originally built by an Italian artist, has all the elegance and charm of a five star hotel.  My partner and I had a sea view balcony room that offers a breath-taking view over the turquoise Indian Ocean.  The hotel, floors, walls and rooms are all in beautiful polished natural stone and marble.  Our bathroom was huge with both bath and large separate shower.  The toilet with bidet was also a separate room.  All the doors were solid arched hardwood as were the extensive wardrobes (with personal safe) and hardwood beamed ceilings.  Really effective and quiet air conditioning.  The huge dining room is open at the far end directly onto the beach and you can dine outside actually on the private beach at night for a truly romantic dinner.||The beach is totally white, coral, finest sand with the ocean the most amazing turquoise and sooo warm.  We went 5th June for two weeks (low season) and the beaches were practically empty .... it was an absolute perfect hideaway.  The weather was wonderful (rain some days at night and the odd sprinkle in the day, but always warm and as much sunshine as you’d want).  Great food, fresh fish recommended.  Always well cooked and beautifully presented with personal requirements always fulfilled.||BUT!!! ... what really made our holiday so wonderful were the STAFF!!  We would like to mention just a few by name (all of them were great right down to the maintenance man!) but we would personally like to thank, from the bottom of our hearts SANDEEP, who made us special mocktails and divine drinks day and night of his own receipts and was an absolute gentleman and a scholar.  BHAGAT, who served us day and night in the restaurant, on the beach and was just always there with his sunshine smile and gentle kindness, always.  Nothing too much trouble, a really kind and genuine man who served us like we were royalty and made us feel so special.  He chose and played wonderful music every night that was so good we even got up and danced.  It was magical.   RHEICHE (I’ve spelt her name wrong I’m sure) the most lovely lady who served us at meal times, again, so kind, so friendly, always making the time to treat us with such care and warmth.  Last but not least BABIN, our exceptional security guard.  He is from Nepal and is typical of the Nepalese gentlemen.  He made us feel so safe and secure as he patrolled inside and outside ALL night every night.  Always smart, always with a ready smile and just a really lovely man.  All the staff are wonderful.  The Manager, Suren, runs a very tight ship and the guests comfort is his absolute priority. ||Thank you all, so much, WE WILL...

We were 6 nights in Village de Pecheur. Hotel is directly at the beach and speaking of it … one of the best beaches we ever experienced. You can have dinner (or lunch or breakfast) with your feet in the sand, looking at the sea. Amazing. Foot: breakfast - the buffet is rather small, but had the things we expected, such as toast, fresh fruits, cereals, omelette and cheese. Dinner was great, we had it included which meant there was a three course meal. Literally everything tasted very good or even excellent: The soups, the main courses and the desserts. The staff was super nice. They took care about everything, and especially the restaurant manager Mr. Pradhan was very helpful and friendly, not only regarding the food, but also with everything else regarding our stay in the hotel. Thank you, sir! Last but not least: Rooms - were clean and beautiful. We had view on the sea, so what more to say … We will come...

NO ROOM WITH SEA VIEW IN THIS DISHONESTY HOTEL I booked the junior suite because of the "sea view" and unobstructed photo that they posted on expedia by the hotel. My room was dark and had no sea view at all as the sea was hidden by a dense curtain of trees. All the rooms on the 2nd floor have this curtain of trees in front of their window so no sea view. The photo of the junior suite is that of a more expensive suite on the 3rd floor where you can see the sea and which is more pleasant because it is brighter. The manager was despicable and claimed that I had had a sea view since the sea is behind the trees!!! This hotel without any sea view therefore charges its rooms for a higher price for a non-existent sea view and this is dishonest. Avoid this hotel because they are by the sea but no room has a sea view. See the picture attached : just a curtains of trees and dark room for high price

This hotel has so much potential. It is pretty, staff are friendly. The rooms are big and spacious, with beautiful balconies. There's direct access to a beautiful beach (Cote d'OR). It is also so center that it is close to everything yummy, some of the good nearby restaurants are La Goulue, and Cafes des Arts, the latter at walking distance. There are at least 3 nearby supermarkets. The rooms could be cleaner and less humid, no matter how much we shut the windows and cooled the AC, it would still feel damp. Breakfast offered did not contain much variety, though there were yummy eggs and croissants, the representation was bad, the buffet is set outdoor, which was nice, but then they would keep the food covered with plastic wraps to avoid attracting insects, it looked rather uninviting.

We stayed in a junior suite for 9 nights in January with the family. We were quite impressed and happy with the service we received, people were very helpful and attentive with our needs. Facility is quite old but this did not impact the level of fun we had. We experienced a leaking window at a rainy period but they fixed it during our stay. Locationwise it is located at a very nice point. It is next to supermarket and exchange office which helps a lot. Breakfast is very basic, dinner selection is better.. The worst part was on the last day, we were all bitten by sand flies because of which we had rashes on our skin for the following almost 10 days. During our time not much sand weeds.. However presence of stingrays at the shallow beach part made us uncomfortable..
