*had to repost since the hotel itself deleted my post!!! If they can delete all the bad reviews then no wonder the high score they have.
Unforth, I have to give this hotel a bad review since the experience left me with a bitter taste...
I stayed for two nights (27th-29th 2022) and the first day I arrived I used one of their services - cleaning cloths. I delivered a jacket and a skirt for dry clean. Asked them how long it would take cause I had a short stay. The person told me 24-48h, that it was not an issue and that I would receive it back before my checkout.
On the day of my checkout, I asked when I could expect my clothing back, and they said they call and check as it's an external laundry company. The hotel first told me at 15:00, but then when I checked out, they said it might take a little longer.
I came back the 30th to pick up my dry clean, and my skirt still had all the stains on it. The jacket was a bit better, but you could see they had done a sloppy job as my lipstick stains were still on the inside of the jacket. I had to pay approx 50 euros for a, to say it straight, shitty job!
The hotel referred me to the paper with dry-clean prices and said "it says here it will take 3 days", (on the paper it says it will be WITHIN 3 days) and that the person who told me 48h was not wrong cause that is what a usual laundry job takes, but dry clean needs 3 days and since I didn't give them that time, they were not able to clean the cloths properly for me. Now they didn't have the chance to try. In my world, if a service was not done, then they should receive no payment. However, the hotel said I had to pay since they had to pay extra to get the things back. The discussion went on for 1h... That's the last thing I want to do when I'm on a trip.
The cleaning manager will get a 5 star for being very professional, kind and understanding. The receptionist, however, was quite rude and had an attitude when she spoke.
Most of the receptionist was kind and helpful but two of them seemed like they really disliked their jobs... very unprofessional
The rooms had a good size and a modern look. The only downside I can say about the room is the curtains - they didn't keep out the light when trying to sleep. I was not fond of the location. The food there was average. I would not recommend the hotel for the price they charge.
The experience is everything, and I had a bad one, so this one is a no for me. Very...
Read moreI'm a Marriott hotels loyalist and it takes a lot for me to write a bad review about a Marriott branded hotel.||The lack of service started out before I even arrived. I tried to set up a transfer from Vienna to Bratislava and reached out to the hotel via social media, Instagram. I private messaged them about it and I'm still waiting on a response. Image included for proof. On the IG account it had an email on it, info@ and got no response either. They've since removed that email from the IG account. 10 days later my gf messaged them on IG and got a response, which was to email hotel@. We got the transfer lined up but it shouldn't of been this hard. ||On to the room, it feels like they're going for a minimalist feel for the room. No interior design was done on the room. If you look at the room photo you'll notice that they leave an empty space in the corner. A small couch could of been put in the space. ||In a review we read it said the rooms didn't have any AC. This is not the case, the AC in the room runs very well. We like to have a chilly room when we come back from being out. The room has 1 of those, put your key here slot to turn things on. So like I said we like a chilly room and we would leave a key card in the slot to keep the AC running. This wasn't an issue until the last day of our visit. When we came back to the room the key card wasn't in the slot. It wasn't on a table or anywhere in the room. I get it if you don't want me running the AC while we aren't in the room, but put the key card on the table or desk. Taking the key, IMO, is a serious security issue. Anyone could enter the room and it would look like we did it. If it wasn't for it being the last night I would of gone down to the desk and asked for new keys.||Last issue I had with the hotel is that because of our status with Marriott we usually get offered free breakfast if breakfast is served. Not at this place, the first time ever at a Marriott hotel I stayed in that it wasn't included. Yeah I'm being boujee with that criticism but I'm loyal to Marriott and they should appreciate it.||Ok enough criticism, I'll say this. The hotel is in a good location, a 10 minute walk to the old town. The hotel is also dog friendly since we saw multiple dogs inside the...
Read moreExtremely hot, impossible to sleep. The room was 26.5°C (80°F) even after a half hour with the thermostat set to the minimum temperature. I called reception and a very polite woman named Olga arranged to move me to another room. Security came with me to ensure the thermostat was set correctly to the minimum temperature, but it was no better. You could hear the sound of a fan but you couldn't feel any air coming out of the vent. They probably never change the filters. She had security go to a third room and set the temperature there to see if it would get cooler. He said it fell by half a degree but that's it.
I asked to cancel the reservation and Olga ended up calling all the other Marriott properties in town to find me one with working climate control. I would leave one star but I'll leave two since Olga tried so hard to be helpful. She was a five star employee. When I turned in my room key and the free drink card I'd been given, she even told me to keep the free drink card and use it in the morning when I came back to pick up the car I left in their parking garage.
It's a shame the hotel management doesn't maintain their climate control. It's autumn and quite cool outside so it really is embarrassing that the rooms are such tropical temperatures in what is supposed to be a four star hotel. Terribly ironic given that the hotel has AC right in the name.
I ended up finally getting checked into the new hotel at 2am, and with a flight early the following day that means only 4.5 hours of sleep.
When I went to pick the car up, Olga was gone and was replaced by a woman named Laura who was quite rude. When I asked where I could use the free drink ticket, she said I couldn't use it anywhere because I cancelled my reservation and actually confiscated it so I wouldn't try. I explained that Olga had specifically told me to hang onto it and she said it didn't matter. Whatever good will I had towards the hotel because of Olga, I quickly lost because of Laura. Originally I was planning on giving a two or three star review, but after having my apology drink ticket confiscated, I'm downgrading back to one star.
I will never book another AC Hotel after...
