The Hotel bears a vintage look but really it is old. Our room cost over 100 euro per night and both windows in the room were broken and did not close properly what is a real problem at the end of December. Bathtub was dirty and toilet was not splashed. Bed was very unconfortable but it had enough of pillows. Soap dispenser was dirty (I supposed mold). Overall service was absolutely not satisfactory. First, we were not warned that massage was not available for booking. Kitchen works only till 10 pm and though it is not very late we had a problem to order cold snacks at 9:45 pm because "kitchen staff was leaving" However, after 2 calls we got a plate with question "do you want us to bring it to your room or will you pick it up at the restaurant" We believe that room service should be taken for granted in such property without inadequate questions. For breakfast we could order as we were only 4 people overnight. Coffee machine was broken and the waiter was not willing to start a big coffee machine behind the bar and instead he offered instant coffee! When other 2 guests left breakfast he would take the unfinished cheese plate from their table and offered it to us "would you like some cheese?" we declined ... The young girl in the spa area was very friendly and descrete. She would service us very well. We liked the spa area although the massage shower was broken (and to us seemingly even a bit dangerous to use) Foot bath was broken as well. She however prepared very nice ginger drinks for us. When we were leaving we got question if everything was ok, well we said no. The explanantion for that was "there is not enough of staff because of Christmas". Make your own judgement. We might visit spa again but staying in the hotel is...
Read moreGreat location - few minutes walk from train station, about 3 minutes walk to the center of Košice. The hotel is located on a calm side street, though. The staff were professional, kind and helpful. They gave us great advise on what to do, see and visit in the city during our stay. :) ||Spacious room with a big and comfortable bed. Sleeping area and living room were separated, which was great. The accommodation was clean and cozy. Better than expected!||Hotel spa was beautiful but way too small. There were not enough deckchairs and seats in the relaxing area which made it a bit uncomfortable when there were more guests in the spa. We ended up just using the jacuzzi and went straight back to our room. We were told the spa can only be visited by guests over the age of 15 but in the end there were some kids in the spa each evening. It was therefore a bit noisy but we did not mind. We were pleasantly surprised by the welcome drinks :)||The hotel restaurant is really beautiful, it's a winter garden with many plants, flowers and a fountain in the middle of the room. Fresh air, birds singing and quiet music playing in the background create an amazing calming atmosphere. The breakfast was also good,...
Read moreLovely friendly check-in! Was pleasantly surprised with a personal showing to my room (Only 25 bedrooms) so was a nice touch! My room was huge with TV with over 100 channels including UK ones! Nice big double, but you could tell it was a split bed which divides into a Twin - but I don't move in my sleep. Lots of hot water, hospitality tray etc... Warm room! Best part was the free Spa with sauna, steam. complimentary warm ginger and honey tea, jacuzzi, small relaxing pool... All very clean and looked after so well! Slippers are mandatory, but all clean and friendly! Breakfast was nice in a very quirky "old time" restaurant, but served its purpose, although a little limited and old fashioned - need to make the food on its presentation much fresher looking - more colourful! - but tasted okay - it was like an early 80's breakfast. The location is okay - just don't look like a tourist at night time - but...
