A rarity in a little eastern Slovakian city: an authentic Japanese eatery with a short but very well executed and focused menu, reminding one more of a Tokyo sushi bar than an usual “Asian fusion” cuisine common in these parts of the world. Although we were the only customers (a table of three), it was obvious from the express time it took the chef to serve us our dishes that every movement in the kitchen is very well rehearsed, a sign we were being hosted by a master of his trade who also happen to be a very kind and attentive host. I am no expert in the Japanese cuisine, but compared to what I sampled in Košice so far, these were by far the best ramen noodles I ate (even compared to my home Berlin in a lower price-tagged restaurants). Pork belly in my ramen was melting in my mouth and was so soft it almost made me cry from joy. Absolutely amazing value for the price, top ingredients and a very informal and family atmosphere created by the hosting couple makes this an excellent informal culinary experience deserving attention from all lovers of of good eating.

Highly recommended,...

Well we have to be honnest here. There is one waitress and one cook for the entire place, so pleace be paient with your food, but that food, boy o boy... That was just so great. We were waiting 5 minutes to get the table and then maybe 25 more (while entire place was full) to get our meals (for 3 people). It was a saturday 1pm, lunch time so obviously bussiest time but as allways, food was just amazing. This place never...

Excellent food, lovely atmosphere and very nice staff. I don't know if it actually is family owned, but it sure has such vibe, which is very unique around here. Feels like the owners really put their hearts into every single thing about it.

As if that wasn't enough, it also has a micro indoor plant nursery and a small offer of various Japanese goods, even Gundams.

If I had to keep only one restaurant in Košice, this...

This place is magical, you open a door and suddenly you’re feel like in Japan. It’s simple but cosy and absolutely lovely -there are plants everywhere, food it’s delicious, authentic taste of ramen and the matcha tonic was the best one I ever had in my life. The staff is very nice too. There are also some Japanese sweets available, like different kinds of mochi or interesting kitkat flavours. This place deserves 6 stars ✨!

Honestly the best ramen in Kosice, and for a good price too! Hochija and matcha were really nice, ramen and was suuuper well made and felt like a warm hug. Also ordered mochi but it didn't have too much taste, probably because it was store bought. The interior is really fun and especially if you like anime ;) would highly recommend ! Staff is really helpful too

The best atmosphere I've felt inside a restaurant. The cook is Japanese so the ramens taste amazing. Really kind staff. Although the menu used to be bigger, it's quite small at the moment, with lots of items missing as compared to some years ago.
