Central Pub&Restaurant — Restaurant in Košice

Not Electric scooter friendly pub! This was the second time when I visited @Centralpub in Kosice (inside premises). I decided to took the most effective transport in the city - the electric scooter (Xiaomi m365). Before entering the place i slowed down and turned the ligts of, as i know how the light can be irritative. I had ti stopped before the entrance of the pub because 4 waiters were standing at the entrance and as they saw me with my scooter, it seems that they dont want to let me in with it. After mentioning that I am part of my colleagues having teambuilding at that place, they ALLOWED me to enter the place. I felt like i am not welcomed at all with my scooter at that place. Besides that the food was not good at all. I had a Tatar ,which I asked to be not mixed (mixed means that the cook will prepare the flavours for you, he will mix the flavours). I didnt want him to mix it for me. Ususally the toast comes with the meal, you can ask to prepare the bread to be grilled or boild. I choosed the grilled one. Wheb you put garlic on grilled or boiled bread the taste is amazing! But the bread was weak, it was like not grilled at all, it was like a normal bread with a light of grilling. Central Pub & Restaurant, Košice — a great atmospheric place for lunch in the city centre. We stopped by during the day and immediately felt the cozy vibe — stylish interior, comfortable atmosphere, and very attentive staff. The place combines the relaxed feel of a pub with the quality of a good restaurant.

I especially enjoyed the craft beer — there’s a great selection, but my top recommendation is to try the “cut beer” (a mix of light and dark beer in one glass). With every sip, the flavour unfolds — starting with the light, crisp notes and slowly moving into the rich taste of the dark beer.

For lunch, I had dumplings with potatoes and cheese, served with sour cream and crispy bacon bits — so aromatic, filling, and full of homemade flavour. My partner ordered a burger with black buns — juicy, big, and very original, beautifully presented.

Amazing food, the chefs are incredible, thank you. The service is a bit terrible. We went there for a week just because of the amazing food. Even though they are busy, they should be polite, because many people got up and left because of their rudeness. For example, one blonde waitress told a couple from abroad to explain what they were cooking: "Read it, I don't understand you either," she said rudely and threw the menu on the table. Then, when they ordered and waited a long time, the man went inside to pay for at least a drink, and the same blonde waitress told us in an unpleasant way that they wouldn't cook for you in 10 minutes even at home. If some waitresses don't want to, they tell you to pay by card, because you can't do it outside when you sit. This happened there every day.
