The first obstacle is finding the place. You can only see the sign coming from one direction. Then you have to scale a very steep hill to get to the parking. Not the best first impression. ||||Then there were the room keys. My first question is why any hotel would use traditional keys for room access verses swiping a key card? It wasn’t a simple quarter turn either, you had to twist the key in the lock 360 degrees then realize you went the wrong direction and start over. This could easily turn into a 30 second ordeal. The sound of keys jangling in locks was common. The silly part is when you’re in the room you have to again turn the key to lock the door. This seems like a huge code violation of some sort. Imagine a fire breaks out in the middle of the night and to exit you have to locate your key to place in a metal knob. Crazy. ||||The room itself was quite underwhelming. Yes, it was clean and modern, but close your eyes and you could have been anywhere. Stark white walls and flat beds made me very glad we didn’t spend much time in the room. We stayed two nights, and the room was never serviced. That was odd for us when we’re used to American hospitality. There was a note in the bathroom saying the towels are refreshed every three days or you get charged, so not sure if they would make the bed during that time too. There was a window from the shower into the room, but luckily they provide a shade you can pull to cover. We left it covered the entire time. Seems like a huge waste of money to put a glass window where you don’t want one. I don’t know, the place...
Read moreI spent one night at this beautiful hotel and wished I could have stayed longer because this place have one of the best atmosphere I've ever experienced. Especially I must to mention the lady who works here, Michaela. She is very communicative and friendly, and even in such a short time I spent there I have to say I saw how she talked to other guests and that level of friendliness is in Slovakia something, what man just doesn't meet so easily. |The rooms were well appointed and comfortable everything was clean and on a high level comparable with expensive hotels.|I asked for early breakfasts and I was satisfied for a hundred percent, everything was properly prepared and delicious. :)|I had no problem with parking, and the accessibility to the center is great.|I will come back here every time I need to sleep in Poprad or on that area.|My last word is that it's a surreal experience for surreal money, I highly recommend this place to...
Read moreWe stayed a few nights in this guesthouse in Poprad. Check In was ok. We had a deluxe studio suite with a kitchenette and balcony. The room itself was new and clean. The bed was comfortable - we would have liked to have the chance to switch the bedlights on each side on and off separately. The TV has only a few english channels and no german channels. ||The bathroom was great. Towels are changed every three days. ||There is parking available. ||||Breakfast is served by choice either at 7:30, 8:30 or 9:30 a.m. It is buffet style, available are bread, toast, cheese and cold cuts, tomatoes, cucumber and pepper, yoghurt, orange nectar, eggs (daily varied fried, scrambeld, sometimes boiled), cake, some fruit and cereals, coffee and tea in a...
