We only stayed a night in Trnava and at the Penzion but would happily have tarried longer. The town is lovely, particularly the walled area of the university precinct that surrounds the Penzion. Unlike Bratislava it is clean and well cared for and has a great shopping and cafe street with a lovely vibe and many delightful statues and sculptures. The Penzion is in a quiet area of the old town but only 10 mins walk from all the happenings in the town centre and train station. The lads on reception were delightful, very warm and welcoming and helpful. They made us coffees late at night and plied us with homemade crepes and savouries in the morning. Our apartment was warm on a chilly autumn night and spotlessly clean. The big corner bath had plenty of hot water to fill it and the wifi was very adequate. The only addition needed is tea/coffee making facilities in the room....but that is a very British need! If Scotland ever play a game in Trnava again I will certainly be booking this apartment up again as...

The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. We were on the 3rd floor in a room that had two dormer windows that could be left open. You could hear the church bells ringing and look out over the rooftops. It is located on a cobblestone street lined with trees. It is a quiet neighborhood away from the sound of traffic. The location was perfect for wandering around the old town square or to walk to the new modern mall. Excellent restaurants were within walking distance. A great place to stay at a...
Read morePenzion Holiday was our accommodation during the IPA maintenance conference in Trnava, where I stayed together with my coworker. It turned out to be a very good choice—our room was spacious, very clean, and the guesthouse allowed late check-in, which was perfect since we arrived after 22:00.
The only small downside was the hot water in the shower—it took about 5–10 minutes before it actually warmed up. The beds weren’t the most comfortable either, but that might be more of a personal preference.
On the positive side, it was calm and quiet enough that I could prepare for my presentation without any distractions. Overall, it was a solid stay, practical for...
