A Surprise treat
This was a last-minute booking without too much research and I was quite surprised by the levels of luxury and comfort this hotel provided - well above what I expected from a Holiday Inn establishment in Europe!
LOCATION: Fantastic location right next to the main square and walkable from all key points of interest
DINE + DRINK: Lobby level that is great for a pre-drink before you head out. Didnt have a chance to try the breakfast
ROOM: We stayed in Room 218, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Random view of the city from very random windows that were slanted; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: GOod spa quality cosmetics
FACILITIES: Compact Gym with a good range of weights and Cardio machines good enough for a decent workout
SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of.

It simply does not seem worth being a member of IHG Hotels at this moment, and quite honestly situations like this (where I feel like I was ripped off) have made me look into other hotel chains loyalty programs instead of IHG. After all, why would I/why should I commit to staying at IHG properties with such...
