Most horrific experience at Morningside Shopping Centre!! They clearly employ the most incompetent parking provider who refused to let my husband out of the parking lot in OUR vehicle!!!! The boom wasnt working and didnt issue a ticket!!! So my husband buys at woolworths and it would be on their cameras too, but since he didnt have a ticket they assumed he stole OUR car!!!! What logic was being applied to help my husband except to act as though he was a criminal with a vehicle which works with a unique key!!! How could they not see his vehicle entering the parking lot with him in it if their cctv cameras are working and recording correctly??? We visit the centre several times a week and this is how you get treated as a regular patron. This all transpired because clearly their supposed cctv system cannot be used properly by the staff on duty!!! Pathetic! Had to drive with our 2 young children to go see that my husband was safe with these hideous horrible people who are clearly devoid of logic or reason!!! I visited the mall , we went to the Naked coffee shop, we got a table in the corner of the coffee shop in an enclosed area. I took my laptop and my laptop bag with. I placed it next to me. We had lunch, while having lunch this guy comes into the coffee shop and steal my bag. He even talked to the staff. I realise my bag is gone and reported to the coffee shop owner at first they don't believe me , then her son eventually helped me, they have a camera in the shop but no screen to display it, so they fetch a monitor and this take them 25 minutes, the mall security eventually came. I'm not asked details from both the security company and the coffee shop. I opened a case at Sandton Police station and they really helped me and gave me professional service. The coffee shop told me this was not the first time this happened to a person. I wrote an email to the mall , they then responded, a security guard call me very late at night with a woman screaming at the background, this was unprofessional , the mall apologise, I am still without my laptop and laptop bag.
