Lovely little self catering room...located not far from the lagoon & a little walk from the town itself...a wonderful reception from the owners who live above the rooms...the driveway was certainly a steep challenge to get up after a few attempts but we made it...enough parking at the top...the room is fairly small...the shower & toilet are together so you sort off shower over the toilet & washbasin which can be tricky...the balcony was stunning...lovely views & lovely table & seating to relax...we were in room one which is at the main door...so everyone coming in & out you hear...the features in the room are enough for a few days...there is also a communal kitchen for cooking as well...WiFi was good & there is DStv for movies etc...there is a lovely cat that took to us & we certainly enjoyed time with her...the shops are a little walk away but not too far...there is a restaurant close by across the road as well...lovely...
Read moreWe are in Room 4. Lying on the bed. And taking in our vacation so far while relaxing in this beautifully appointed and wonderfully smelling room. The rooms truly are top class, with daily room cleaning and freshening service! Our room has an almost fully self catering kitchenette and there is a shared full kitchen for use by the guests of four rooms only.
The decor leads one to a quiet, chilled time, leaning towards esoteric, holistic and Buddhist elements. All the rooms look north over the lagoon, so you're not facing south lacking sun. I so prefer this position and orientation to a sea facing view. And it's far enough away from the traffic noise to enjoy the abundance of bird life outside.
Our hosts are super chilled and we look forward to sharing a wine with them before we leave.

Not that you spend much time in your room as it has a private veranda with a settee and bean bags with a magnificent view across the valley and the hills beyond. Wilderness is a focal point for many trails, a gateway to the Garden Route National Park, and has a wide, wide beach which we couldn’t see to the end of let alone walk it.|The owner and staff are friendly and attentive.
