Point B - Hotel & Tours — Hotel in Green Point

I won't be impartial in this review. I can't. Why? Because when you meet these people, you realize that you can have a friend in a place you haven't ever been to. ||Point B is a little hidden jewel in Green Point, in an unassuming narrow alley (very safe though) away a few blocks from fantastic restaurants. Groomed to the slightest detail, even with aromatherapist approach, the guest house that Bradley and Hilton created is an ambiance where you could live forever. Yes, yes, yes, the rooms are small but can't be otherwise for the price in the overcrowded Cape Town! ||Ours was an eventful (too much) trip to the Southern tip of Africa. In mid July, our group stayed for one night and we loved it. Hospitality is a core value of Point B. A pleasant night, fantastic beds, soothing sheets... Yes, the shower was tiny but with soothing soaps and everything and -hey- we were there for one night ready to visit Cape Town, Francshhoek, and everything! ||A few days later, as our tour turned a little sour, in our way back to Cape Town we didn't know where we would spend out last night in South Africa and found in internet that Point B was fully booked! But we called anyway. Yes, it'd been fully booked by Bradley -one of the owners- ... FOR US, just in case. ||We are particularly grateful to the service personnel. They were outstanding. Our hearts are particularly thankful to Celeste. She was the warmest person we met in the whole trip. We bring with us this precious memory and we'll be forever grateful to Bradley and Celeste and the whole Point B crew.||Hey, I can't forget those breakfast, freshly prepared by Celeste. Auf unserer Reise nach Kapstadt und dem Krüger National Park, welche von Ikarus Travel für uns organisiert wurde, kamen wir in das Point B Guesthouse. Die Begrüßung war eigentlich nicht vorhanden. Eine Bedienung übernahm den Check In. Obwohl der Besitzer da war. Unser Zimmer war Nr. 1. |Wir waren recht enttäuscht als wir rein kamen. Es ist im Erdgeschoss, neben dem Frühstücksraum. Die eigentlich mit gebuchte Terrasse ist öffentlich. Das ist das erste was wirklich nicht gut gelaufen ist. Dann roch das Zimmer sehr muffig. Eine Verbindung zwischen nassen Hund und kalten Rauch. Das Badezimmer war, so wie das Zimmer selber klein und in die Jahre gekommen. Die Sauberkeit lies leider ein wenig zu wünschen übrig. Die Bettwäsche wurde 5 Tage nicht gewechselt, es fehlten immer kleine Handtücher und der Mülleimer im Bad wurde nie entleert und der Zimmer auch nur einmal. Der Kleiderschrank-Raum roch und der Safe ist sehr weit unten, nichts für ältere Menschen. |Das Frühstück war ok. Mal gab es Wurst, mal Käse... Das Personal war sehr bemüht und freundlich. Obwohl ich schon angekündigt habe Veganer zu sein, war für mich am ersten Tag nur ein Joghurtbecher, Müsli und Sojamilch da. Sie bemühten sich aber wirklich mir an den nächsten Tagen mehr zu bieten... Es war immer das gleiche, aber der Wille war vorhanden.|Der Freund des Besitzers, Hilton, kam am ersten Abend zu uns uns und war sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. |Der Besitzer wiederum kümmerte sich nicht wirklich um uns und auch als ich nachfragte, ob es vielleicht, in den nächste Tagen ein anderes Zimmer gäbe, meinte er: we are fully booked. Zum Check Out kam niemand. Wieder musste das Personal...

Our week-long stay at Point B provided the perfect landing place to recharge and reflect during the Spirit of Freedom Tour ~ South Africa 2025, of which Point B was a proud contributing member.
