Hotel Cube — Hotel in Morningside

Upon arrival the staff was very friendly...Claiming that they were strict on noise...The next morning when I wanted to make a cup of coffee there seemed to be old decaying "vomit" in the kettle...Our shower either goes extremely hot or extremely cold,no in-between....Our AC just stopped working the first night...They served us baked beans and pork sausage after not even asking what our dietary needs were...To take the cake was when there were people literally having a party next to us at 1 am in the morning...I called and complained 4 times in the span of 2 hours before something was done about that...I have pictures of how gross the showers look and the "vommit" in the kettle... I am very disappointed in what I received , especially for the price...decided to book out and go to Pavilion Hotel...I strongly do not recommend...

Rather up your budget a bit and go somewhere else. The friendly receptionist was the only positive about the place. Dodgy neighbourhood. People (possibly hotel employees), at least 6, were just loitering on the steps up to the hotel entrance happily cackling away and shouting to passers by. The hotel decor was as unimaginative as possible. The smell throughout the entrance was of burnt food. At the reception sat the smiling receptionist and her scowling manager/possibly hotel owner. Going up to the room I tripped twice first on a stair with a raised aluminium edge, next on a ramp going across the top of the staircase. Room looked into the unkempt neighbours yard and green swimming pool. The room was small and simple. The bathroom had cleaning equipment left out in the open.

All in all not worth the R900...

Iyoooo very bad I booked a standard room it was tiny very small wardrobe that can fit inside a size 32 human being ,toilet very close to the wardrobe and the bed. Actually no space felt congested. I felt I was in a shack. Then I went to complian to the receptionist, he was very sweet shame and he changed us to a family it was fine for two people but not a family. 3 beds were there.

Breakfast was nice but I had to check out because of the room condition which was at the ground floor very noisy people walking around it passing by at nite . When you look at window just checking the view ayi there was a room with an outdoor chairs and table and all the maintaince equipment iyoooh it was looking terrable. I had to check out instead of stay two nite I stayed only one and booked...
