Absolutely loved this place!! Did some café hopping in Jeonju’s hanok village and this was the most amazing one of them all!!
The atmosphere first off : the way the café is designed is absolutely stunning, you can choose to sit outside or inside, there are even some more private rooms separated from the rest! You can definitely opt to take pictures as it’s beautiful! Now the food, we got some lattes (coffee latte and corn latte) and a strawberry bingsu, they were both delicious and fresh. The strawberries were nice and sweet, perfectly arranged as well! Their coffee is a bit strong though so be aware of that!
Now for the only downside in my opinion : the prices… You can definitely say that you are paying for the atmosphere, it’s an extremely touristy area so higher prices are to be expected but 30 000 wons for a bingsu when it usually costs 15 000, is a CRAZY upping. Especially since they’re not larger than the norm and don’t taste bad BUT don’t taste mind-blowing either. If you don’t mind paying at the very least twice the usual price for your order then I’d definitely recommend the place! The staff were really nice as well and the menu is also...
Read moreThis place has absolutely picture perfect food! We ordered a cherry bingsu (which looked like it deserved to be on the cover of a magazine) and an affogato. BUT be aware that this place is VERY expensive! 41,000 won for a bingsu and affogato! The atmosphere would have been lovely, soft piano music and comfy chairs, but one of the staff sat in the cafe and played loud video games on his phone which completely disturbed the experience for the patrons. He must have been staff, or a friend of the staff, because he hadn't ordered anything and he went around the back of the counter and into the kitchen. There was limited seating inside as it was raining and evening time so it was impossible to get away from the noise so we didn't stay long. I was hoping to love this place but spent 41,000 only to rush through a dessert which deserved better attention. Tip for the young man sitting in the corner: there's these things called headphones, everyone is using them - get...
Read moreA beautiful hanok café in Jeonju Hanok Village — Café Ireuri! The outside looked like a traditional Korean house, but the inside was warm and cozy, which made me feel really comfortable. The lighting was soft and calm, so the photos came out beautifully. I ordered a vanilla frappe and a strawberry croffle. The vanilla frappe was cold and sweet, and I felt happy as soon as I took a sip.The strawberry croffle had a crispy base topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. It looked pretty and tasted amazing. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful, especially if you find a good seat to relax. If I visit Jeonju again, I definitely want to go back to this café.It would be even better to visit...
