The only good point of this hotel is the location. It nears the traditional market.||Room is small. No chair. And that's still fine for us.||||The worst of this hotel is their RECEPTIONIST! They can hardly understand English, and Rude! Firstly, we called to ask if they have bath floor towel, and he said "I don't understand." Probably the most common words we heard from them. We have to explain more and finally he understand and reply, "No. We don't have."||||Secondly, we called to ask if they have iron to borrow. We don't know if he don't understand, or he simply don't know if they have one to borrow, he just hang up on us... Speechless. Can they just reply us properly? ||||Lastly, their breakfast room is an open area. We saw some guest buying outside food and eating there during nighttime, so we do the same. One of a receptionist came to warn us to clean out after dinner, as we are not supposed to use this space during nighttime. So next evening I go to the reception to ask if we could have dinner here, that we will clean out. The receptionist, Ms. Kim, said we can't have dinner here, even if we want to wash their plates. WHAT? Did she really said that? I was speechless. As we already bought some food from traditional market, and there are no chairs inside room, it is very inconvenient for us to eat together inside room. So we had to eat outside the hotel, on the bench. Guess what? It was a cold night and my father's hands are too shaking to eat. What kind of Hotel Experience is that?!||||Just the time we decided to eat inside our room, we saw some guests were eating in the breakfast room! My sister quickly go to argue with the receptionist. And she replied that she just meant all the utensils are not allowed to use. But we never said we want to use their utensils! So she misunderstood, and feel not apology at all. In fact, she still being rudely in whole situation. ||A hotel receptionist doesn't understand English, and rude in manner?! How pathetic.||||Overall, go find another hotel. You can find better than this. You don't have to suffer from poor attitude, and ruin your...

Read moreThis hotel deserves a stellar review for what it provides given its budget price point. So where do I begin?||Its location checks every box, especially if you intend to rely on Jeju’s bus transport system (which is super efficient but that’s another story). Many buses stop like 2 minutes from the doorstep of the hotel, if not, then the street behind it or further up the road. The direct express bus 800-1 from the airport (look for Gate 4) to Seogwipo took over an hour and a further 10 mins walk led me to the hotel. ||The hotel is about 100m from the Seogwipo Olle Market, so there’s an abundance of food choices every night. Compared to the Jungmun area which is more upmarket and pricier, the downtown offers more local flavour, imho, but it really depends on what you’re looking for. There are definitely more locals than tourists here. ||The room itself is well worth the money. It is clean and the bed is comfortable. I booked the double room solely to have a table and chair which to me are necessary. The shower is hot and strong though the water does splash out to the toilet area since there is no partition. The view from my 9th floor room is a bonus. ||Note that there is no housekeeping service. I have no problem with that as I like to clean my own room while traveling solo. I just don’t feel comfortable having staff entering my room at any time. They have worked out a system whereby you collect your 2 bottles of mineral water and fresh towels from the receptionist everyday. You can also dispose of your rubbish and get new bin liners. Toilet rolls and soap can be collected when they run out. The receptionists could understand basic English. ||One major thing they should do: install a chain door guard. This is so important for security reasons. I hope the management is reading this.||Otherwise, it was a most pleasant experience. I would be back in...
