I’m honestly confused how this hotel has 4/5 stars. For the price it’s not a bad hotel but very disappointed and disgusted with my stay. Firstly, the room was dirty. Other people’s hair were all over including inside the sheets. The room had an old cigarette smell and honestly the entire hotel smelled like cigarettes it was so disgusting and smelly. There were black molds in the shower heads and old soap suds were built up on the glass and the ground. It just looked like no one cleaned the room before our arrival or maybe it was just half assed. The front desk guy was also weirdly rude. We are Korean with american passport and were speaking with him in Korean the entire time but he kept addressing us by our first name only. In Korean customs, that’s pretty rude because we don’t know him nor is he our friend and we were much older than him. Even in America we say “Mr. _” so I was just taken aback. Maybe he thinks we’re super American but the constant use of our first name was so confusing and came off a bit rude. Overall, definitely won’t stay here again. Only perk is the location and having a washing machine! If you have sensitive nose to cigarettes and don’t like unhygienic place, I...
Read moreThis place is located on the quieter side of Seogwipo. It's close to the coast, so it is within walking distance from the coastal trails. Also within walking distance from the market. Most of the restaurants around the area are Korean. Some cost more than others. There are a couple of western fast foods (KFC & McDonalds) - about 10-15mins walk. The Airport Limousine (Bus #600) bus stop is only about 5 mins walk from the hotel. So if you come to Jeju and doesn’t plan to rent a car, you can take bus #600 from the airport (just outside Gate 5). The bus fare is only 5,500 won. You can either pay in cash or use your T-money card. The trip is about 1 1/2 hr from/to the airport. The room is not that big but has a lot of storage. It also has refrigerator & washing machine. Bed is typical Korean bed - firm/hard which could be uncomfortable if you're not used to it. Instant coffee and tea is provided everyday with a couple of bottled water. Basic toiletries are provided but...
Read moreThe images online at the booking sites did not truly represent the hotel.||Our room was dirty. Floor had hair and dust and small bits of dirt. We had to call housekeeping to clean it up on check in. ||I suggest investing in an air freshener or air circulatory system in the lobby and walkways. The hotel smells really bad and old. The lobby smelled dingy and old and also smelled of cigarette smoke. Our bathroom also smells like cigarette smoke. ||We had breakfast included. The breakfast spot felt like a school camp hall. The food was adequate and simple, but there were no complaints here. ||All in all, we felt it could have been a better experience. We know we paid a cheap rate, but there are other similar priced hotels that offered us a better experience in our stays...
