Youdong Coffee opens from 8am, making it the perfect spot for your breakfast or early coffee fix!
Conveniently located in the heart of Seogwipo, Youdong Coffee is a cafe that blends chic minimalism with retro charm.
From the cool tiled flooring to the curated furniture and jazzy morning playlist, every corner of this café is thoughtfully styled — making it a serene stop to start your day. There were locals doing work on the laptops here too!
Upon popping in, you will be welcomed by aromatic coffee and an inviting, award-decked space (yes, the walls are filled with accolades of the owner!)
Chocolate Croissant (4300 KRW) This croissant comes with a thick, glossy chocolate coating, generously dusted with cocoa powder. While the outer layer was indulgent, the inside leaned a little dry — so pair it with a warm drink for a more balanced bite.
Salt Cream Cheese Bread (3800 KRW) A Jeju Island favourite, this is not your usual bun. The pillowy bread base carries a touch of saltiness, housing a rich, dense cream cheese filling. It’s deliciously decadent, though a little heavy — best shared between two. Love how the saltiness offsets the richness!
Hot Tiramisu Cafe Latte (6000 KRW) This one stole the show. It’s like sipping on a tiramisu dessert in latte form — smooth espresso, lightly steamed milk, and a layer of creamy mascarpone foam with a sprinkle of cocoa powder. Sweet, but not overpowering. The amount of mascarpone cream and the sweetness level were just right! A must-try if you're a fan of dessert-inspired drinks.
Hot Cafe Mocha (6000 KRW) Drinking 3 cups of coffee on a daily basis there, I can confidently say that this mocha was one of the best I’ve had in South Korea. Rich, bold espresso balanced with just the right touch of chocolate. It’s creamy, comforting, and so satisfying — like a grown-up hot chocolate with a caffeine kick.
You’ll love the photogenic corners here — whether it’s by the window facing the street (great for people-watching) or against the stylish retro walls with a huge comfy sofa.
Parking is available along nearby streets. Come early to beat the crowd, snag the best seats, and enjoy the fresh bakes!
A hidden gem in Seogwipo that checks all the boxes: great coffee, unique bakes, gorgeous interiors, and a calm morning vibe. Definitely...
Read moreI do not drink coffee in regular basis, but rather drink it to enjoy occasionally. I only drink coffee when I am told from snubby coffee connoisseur that the place is fantastic. I only drink Cortado when I do though. I could not pass 유동커피 in 서귀포. I asked barista for Cortado and they had no idea but they quickly said with all sincerity that they were going to ask senior baristas. Two senior baristas came out, holding their smart phones, looking up what Cortado is. I was just about to be disappointed for their not knowing what Cortado is; however, they were very serious and sincere about satisfying my expectation and the order of Cortado. They asked me which coffee beans I would prefer and I let him choose. They recommended A type with some citrus and strawberry flavour mixed in. I could see that the baristas take their job very seriously and keep challenging themselves to be better and study coffee-making art. I waited with a bit of anxiety but OMG it was one of the best Cortados I have even drunk. I drank Cortado in Canada, the United States and even in Europe. As a Cortado connoisseur, I can comfortably say that 유동커피's Cortado is one of the best! It is not on the menu but ask for it. As of July 27, they know how...
