Modern tower block hotel, can be little bit tricky to get to if you’re new to the whole Korean Overground/Metro system.||If traveling from ITC airport ensure you purchase a ticket to Yeongdeungpo. It’s on the Navy Blue Line (Metro Line 1) and will require you to change at Seoul Station whether using the KTX express or the all stop train. You’ll be wanting the line 1 train towards Incheon and Yeongdeungpo is about 5 stops from Seoul Station.||Some popular travel sites will say that Singil Metro (Line 5 - Purple), is just as close to SB Hotel. Do not get off at Singil it’s a good walk if you have luggage and confusing due to the busy road system.||The hotel is listed as having a hot tub, we thought this meant Jacuzzi but turns out they’re referring to the fact that rooms are equipped with a bath tub. :)||The area around the hotel is busy, plenty of restaurants, pubs and appears popular with the locals. Didn’t really hear much noise despite our room facing the main area, but we were on the 12th floor. See picture below.||Room is cleaned every day, very modern with some high tech toys such as remote control lighting, large flat screen TV and Japanese style toilet with varying electronic bidet functions. There is a small fridge which included complimentary water and fruit juice. Also free coffee and tea.||If sightseeing, get used to using the Metro or local taxis (not super expensive, but the Metro is obviously much cheaper) as SB Hotel is a good distance from the famous Itaewon nightlife and Narman Park/Seoul Observation Tower etc.||All in all we enjoyed...
Read moreAlthough the photos don't look particularly impressive, we were thoroughly impressed by this hotel! We spent one week here and had a fantastic stay.
First off, the rooms were very spacious and had separate toilet and shower rooms. This was a nice feature so that someone could still use the toilet while someone else is showering. Also, the fully equipped bidet toilet was an awesome addition.
Secondly, the amenities were great! The room had a mini fridge, large tv and robes, while a water cooler, coffee machine and microwave was available 24/7 in the lobby. You were also allowed free bottles of water every day.
Despite a review we saw that said there aren't many shower amenities offered, we found that our room came with full sized bottles of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hairspray, lotion, bug spray and even a bottle of Uriage Eau Thermale facial spray?! I don't know if they have that in all the rooms or if that was just something left behind by another guest, but I enjoyed using it anyway haha.
Lastly, the location is excellent. The hotel is less than a 5 minute walk to the nearest metro station, close to a few bus stops and an airport bus stop. There is also plenty of restaurants and convenience stores within mere metres.
We have no complaints about this hotel and are extremely satisfied with the value, given the very reasonable price we paid. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a budget-friendly...
Read moreThe hotel is in a small street surrounded by restaurants, bars and clubs but after saying this we were not disturbed at all by noise at night. We still have no idea what this area is but my son described it as dodgy! Our room on the other hand was for 3 adults and was huge. It had a separate toilet and bathroom - the bathroom having a large whirlpool corner bath and a separate shower. It also had 2 fully working computers on a bench with chairs at one side, a sink with a large marble worktop across the other side of the room then 2 large double beds set against a room divider with a large flat screen TV on the wall they faced. Beds were super comfy and the room had both air conditioning and underfloor heating so you could totally choose your living temperature. A kettle and tea making facilities were in the room and there was also free coffee downstairs in the foyer until mid day. The room cleaning staff were great - everything was immaculately clean and refilled each day. As with everywhere in Seoul, the internet is free and fast! good hotel for the airport bus which drops off over the main road a few minutes...
