Do your remember me Mr. Keith? you made me go back to my room to remove the slippers.. You shouldnt have done that to a guest like me.. Heres my review so that other guests are aware of this hotel.. i left this hotel and stayed at Grand Hyatt.. Everyone should know Keith NA and the terrible management of Skypark.
Being a frequent traveler, I was excited to visit South Korea for the first time and explore the vibrant city of Seoul. However, my experience at Hotel Skypark Dongdaemun I left a bitter taste in my mouth, all thanks to the manager at the reception, Keith NA.
Upon my arrival at the hotel, I made my way to the reception desk. Expecting a warm welcome and professional service, I was utterly disappointed by the attitude displayed by Keith NA. Instead of greeting me with a smile and making me feel valued as a guest, he treated me with blatant disregard and indifference.
Throughout my stay, I encountered multiple instances of poor customer service from Keith NA. When I had questions regarding the hotel amenities or sought recommendations for nearby attractions, his responses were curt and unhelpful. It appeared as if he had no interest in assisting guests or creating a pleasant experience.
On one occasion, I experienced difficulties with my room key, and upon seeking assistance from Keith NA, his lackluster attitude and dismissive demeanor were simply unacceptable. Rather than showing empathy or providing a solution, he brushed off my concerns and left me feeling frustrated and ignored.
Moreover, I noticed that Keith NA appeared to favor certain guests over others. As I observed his interactions with other patrons, it became evident that he prioritized his attention towards guests who spoke Korean or appeared to have a higher social status. This discriminatory behavior further added to my dissatisfaction with the hotel's management.
In addition to the poor treatment from Keith NA, there were other aspects of my stay at Hotel Skypark Dongdaemun I that left much to be desired. The cleanliness of the rooms was subpar, with visible signs of wear and tear. The breakfast buffet lacked variety, and the staff at the dining area seemed disinterested and unmotivated.
In conclusion, my experience at Hotel Skypark Dongdaemun I was overshadowed by the unprofessional behavior of the reception manager, Keith NA. His dismissive attitude, favoritism, and lack of customer service skills tarnished the overall impression of the hotel. I would strongly caution potential travelers to consider other accommodation options in South Korea's vibrant capital, Seoul, to ensure a more enjoyable and...
Read moreI’m really enjoying this hotel. It’s very central. The train station is just down the street, there’s a 7-11, a selection of affordable and delicious restaurants (8,000-10,000 KW), a bank which takes international card, and friendly customer service. It’s lovely that the famous street food market is just a few minutes away walking distance. Also, no need to buy water as there is already a hot/cold water dispenser on your floor. If you decide to buy water, just keep the empty water bottle and fill it up with water from the water dispenser. Ours was right by the elevator.
Once we arrived we were greeted with a beautiful view of Seoul Tower. It’s even more beautiful during the sunset and sunrise. I recommend arriving here with a taxi as it took us only a few minutes to arrive from Seoul station. There is also a coin laundry in the 2nd floor. It takes 4x 500 KW not 100 KW. However, if you only have bills luckily there is a coin exchange right underneath the detergent. It gives 500 KW in coins. There is also a detergent machine in which you can purchase a pouch for just 1,000 KW. It’s liquid and smells nice.
Overall, it’s a very clean hotel. Comfy beds with a standard room size for Korea. The washrooms have the nice bidet. The water pressure from the shower is lovely and you don’t have to worry about running out of hot water. Beds were made by the time we arrive back. You have a table with a chair, a kettle, instant coffee and tea pouches. There is shampoo, soap, conditioner, and lotion provided in tubes. I would return here whenever I decide to...
